I don't think so! *Words of Raiden MK movie * Raiden could never be the DK!

Raiden played great on MKDA even without his torepdo and teleport. I'd like the torpedo back. The teleport I'm not bothered about. Just because he does not have those moves, it doesn't mean he can't be in the game! He's a fan favourite! And my favourite character!

1. Raiden was NOT kicked out, he gave of his place among the Elder Gods to be able to help his mortal friends defend Earth against the deadly alliance.

2. The Dragon King was in the egg, while Raiden was out and about kicking butt. There is not even a hint that Raiden was anywhere near the egg at anytime, even when it hatched. That 'honor' was given to Reptile. (If Rep's ending is true.)

3. The reason why they gave us the 'stripped down' version of Raiden (and other characters) was that Midway was trying to cut down on the 'magic' and concentrate on the actual fighting styles. This was mentioned in an article of GameInformer, before MKDA came out.

4. Hopefully the rumor of Raiden dying is just that--A RUMOR! Unless,I'm mistaken this wouldn't be the first time fake leads have been 'leaked' out to give more hype to a game OR the Midway may have multiple ideas and are trying/tried each of them out before deciding on whether or not to use a particular storyline. *sigh* Even if he does die, there is no reason why he can't return in a later game. Hey, he's a god where would he go if he did die..back to his home in the Higher Plane/Heavens/etc?

he will come back as a stronger god. or the elder gods will turn him into something. or quan chis amulet will make him come back evil or some shit.

lui kang is a fucking ghost, and now has an alternate outfit.

so raiden will come back as something.

all ppl that die could come back. when they die there souls go to outworld anyway. an the game taks place in outworld most of the time. so u will always be able to play as a dead person, just they dont have thier soul nomore. ex. scorpion

It's wrong. The dragon in the egg isn't the incarnation or something. The Dragon King probably this in a tomb underneath Lost Tomb, or was buried where Quan Chi reads the writings on the army of the Dragon King. The dragoon of the egg when being born, kills it and uses his blood to revive the Dragon King of his tomb.

Reptile, Liu Kang, Drahmin, King Jerrod and now Raiden... who's the next in being the Dragon King? Frost?
