An 8 to a 9 sounds fair. It's by no means a perfect game but the best effort that has been put forth in a long time. It's got good graphics, good gameplay, good story, online play, and a nice roster of characters. Leagues better than SF4(no pun intended) and almost as good as Soul Cal 4. I wonder how it'll stack up against KOF 12 and Tekken 6.

I'd give MKvDC a 5/10.
The only MK game worse is MK4 (which I would give 2/10).
Personally I found Deception (8/10) to be the best MK game, having a more in-depth story mode with some OK mini-games (chess was cool).

The only good thing about MKvDC was the graphics, and that's because it's the only MK game on next-gen.

It has a very fluid combat system, and one of the best storymodes in a fighting game. However, it needs way more extras, and there are some flawed gameplay such as supermans groundpound.

yes has a good story mode but like all mortal kombat games you can not do a finisher in the story mode,would be good if that happens

mk vs dc i willl give it a 9.9/10 the replay value to me is boring the story is boring im just in it for the fighting

The whole thing plays lovely but needs fine tuning, graphics should have been better, stages should have been better and the roster on both sides was disappointing.

Story mode was awesome though.

I still cant believe people are dismissing it because there is less blood and there are DC characters in it.

Fair enough, you don't like those two factors but that's mere aesthetics. I mean if it had 22 MK characters in it you would all praise it for being the greatest MK ever!

I'd say about an 8. It's a great leap forward with a promising engine and fun gameplay mechanics, but the exploits of easily-abusable characters bring it down a couple of points.
