Notice: After recent information brought to light, the administrators have re-instated the no-scans policy. This is the original post that was made here and is what will be followed. Once again, I apologize for any inconvenience / confusion because of this.

This is the only warning for everyone who is not familiar with our 8-year old rule that I guarantee was never lifted off the books.

There is no rule against describing the magazine's contents, paraphrasing, or commenting on its articles or images. This is not a problem since no actual media is distributed, and can increase interest in the magazine and promote the sale of them. However, this site is not to be used to distribute images of magazine scans that can affect sales of that magazine if people decide to get them here and not at the store. Therefore, none of the following are allowed:

- Posting / linking scans directly. This means no posting images, links or URLs to images, pages with images, or sites that advertise the images. Unless it's the official mag's site and has the images for free, do not post it.

- Using your sig / profile to link to scans. This includes the picture system. This will instantly get you a shadow ban until you change it. If you tell us it's changed and we remove the ban, and it's not, then it's a full ban.

- Publicly asking for scans. This means not asking people to PM you links, or asking outright for the images or where to get them.

- Publicly making any insinuation or hint that you have scans or know where to find them, to attempt to get PMs to link them. This includes hiding messages or hints in your post to tell people where to go, or making any comment that sounds like you're offering in any fashion.

Break these rules once, and you'll get a warning if we're in a good mood. Disregard those warnings, and it's a ban. No ifs, ands, buts, excuses, or exceptions.

Update: A real good way to get on our bad mood is to deliberately break these rules and then act like you didn't do anything wrong and cry about these rules when you get caught. We are not going to buy it, plain and simple. If you see your post get deleted and get warned for it, it's because you more than likely deserved it for not reading / obeying these rules.

Regarding the posting of scans and why it is against the rules of this site:
Magazines have to purchase those images from Midway in order to place them in their articles. This is no different than illegally downloading a song for free rather than using a service that charges you for the content. By not purchasing the magazine or by purchasing it and spreading the images over the internet you are in fact damaging the possible sales of the magazine itself and spreading copyrighted content that was purchased from Midway.

I find it extremely offensive that users show a blatant disregard for the possible legal ramifications that this site could go through because you feel it is so dire to view a picture of Scorpion defeating Batman. Any and all users are putting themselves at risk as well as sites that are posting the scans. If the magazine wanted to do so they could seek legal recourse against anyone who has trafficked those images.

I feel that all of the moderators have posted more than enough warnings on this matter. Those who do not feel they need to listen will be banned according the degree in which they have attempted to circumvent this important rule. Whenever Midway officially releases these or any images on their official sites we can post them here.
