i read the poll and the most requested character was reptile if the mk team would add to the roster of mkvsdc. reptile is my 2nd fav mk character of all time. do you agree with the poll or would you of liked mkvsdc to of had a different character to add to the slot.

sure he's a fan favorite, but there other more diverse mk characters to fill the slot. i say kung lao or even cage. just to spice it up. besides, there's already 2 ninjas from mk in the game anyway.

word up. i'd rather see someone like johnny cage, or kung lao. Hopefully the both of them will be downloadable. Dont get me wrong though, i like reptilesure he's a fan favorite, but there other more diverse mk characters to fill the slot. i say kung lao or even cage. just to spice it up. besides, there's already 2 ninjas from mk in the game anyway.
You missed the point of the poll then. All of the mk fans on Midways' site voted and Reptile was fairly chosen. This game already upset a number of fans because of the crossover gimmick and then the lack of gore. You then want to ignore what the fans want and choose a character that they didn't decisively vote for?
I'm glad you guys don't work for customer satisfaction.

At this stage of the game with Midway in the shitter and the corporate machine about to hit the flusher i have serious doubts we will ever see any dowloadable content.

Ah yes, fan/online polls. Here's the problem with putting much stock in them: MK games sell millions of copies. How many fans vote in online polls? Hundreds, if that? It's not really a viable way of deciding anything, just a way of making hardcore fans believe they're important in some way.
I really don't care if they add DLC or not, as I'm not buying the game (and thus not purchasing any DLC) unless they expand the story mode to include said new characters, and we all know they won't. So trust me, I'm completely unbiased in saying that those polls mean jack and you're foolish if you put any stock in them--unless they say "guaranteed content poll" like Runescape is known to do, ignore it and move on.

Well, two things.
First off, polls of this nature tend to be fairly representative so long as they're open to all parties. I mean, yeah, there's going to be margin of difference, but they're still pretty good resources. Second, I think saying only hardcore fans voted is a bit hasty, but even if it is true, would anyone other than the hardcore fans buy downloadable content? I would say their opinion weighs the most, and even that's an understatement if you ask me.
