I'm afraid I haven't found any new info on Reptile. But I'm really hoping he doesn't evolve. I love Reptile, always have, and I love his storyline of his devolution. I prefer him like this. He has so much more personality in lizard form.
What you should be worried about is whether or not Reptile will live through the defeat of the Dragon King. Remember, if the Dragon King dies in a horrible manner (ie getting the crap kicked out of him), so does Reptile. I just really hope Sindel turns out to be the one who defeats him.

Yeah thsts exactly that i thought. he dies so many physical deaths in the game. i'd tend to think boon & Co wanted people like sindel and nightwolf and millena and such to have the "real" endings seeing as there was so much put into marketing that the "old school" MK'ers were going to be back. Regardless for some reason or another i don't think anyone in the original MK will ever be 100% killed of. Kano will come back via nanotechology, Sub (if dead) will come back a wraith and help scorpion and end up being best friends or something, exe. it's only later warriors i have a feeling will be offed for good. but then again strykers still around.

This is just my opinion. But I think it would be cool if Reptile came back in his human form with a really bad ass costume and enhanced powers.

i just have a question, in reptile's bio, they say the dragon king used his body to return, but on konquest he appears after shujinko used the last kamidogu, so i really don't understand im kinda confused, if anyone knows..... you can tell me

Onagas essence is in the dragon egg that splits and shots into Reptile... Damashi, is just an avatar of Onaga that guides u... so when u hear from Blaze that hes done protecting the egg thats when Onaga and Reptile fused... but he still uses Damashi till u get all of the Kamidogus then he shows himself to Shujinko...

What i don't get is why he became Human again and not his Lizard form?? because i thought his Lizard form was his real form and he couldn't pose as a human anymore because he was in disgise. It makes no sence to me..... Even tho i don't have the game being from the UK dam it!!

I think he was just in Konquest (and the Dark Prison) for completion's sake. Reptile's still the Dragon King, but they threw him in there for giggle's.

Just a simple idea I had. Here's what I put:
This could be common knowledge to a lot of people, but it's still pretty complext. I also don't own the game but have read most of the spoilers. And in Sindel's ending we see that Onaga is released from his shell, finding the human form of Reptile. (Which got me thinking) Since UMK3 we've seen the de-evolution of Reptile, from ninja, to human-like lizard, to Godzilla's baby brother. Now, in the intro of Mortal Kombat Deception Shujinko clearly says the "prophecy" had come true, Onaga the Dragon King had returned. I think this clearly states why Reptile has been de-evolving, his body was growing more animalistic to be a fitting shell for the spirit of the Dragon King, fulfiling the prophecy, hence why we see the ninja form of Reptile once Sindel defeats Onaga. Like I said, when you think about it, it's seems simple. Also I haven't played so, there is a chance Konquest could prove me wrong. I'm pretty sure this is what the MK team had i mind with Reptile too, but ehy I can't read minds, it just seemed sensible. You guys argee, disagree?

i like your theroy. kinda like he was always destined to become the dragon king and thus his body preparied itself by become green and scaley again. i realy don;y think The MK Team has had it planned sence 97 when they first chnaged rep's. but anything is possible. lots of thing don;t make secne in the MK Univerese cuase all all the damn endings in each game and it's a bitch not knowing what ones were true till the next game gest released. IMO and sad opinion i have a feeling MK 7 will come and go with no sign of Onaga or reptile. I think if he does pop up again it will be furthur down the road. I still had my theroy/comment that it was kinda odd that the most insignificant warrior from MK1, the one who has been used by ALL of top giys weather it by shang kahn shinnok whoever finnaly beacme the miost powerfull warrior of all. so if he were to die now with onaga i would find it a fitting end just as i found sub zero V.2's death in Noob-Smokes ending a fitting end (if canon) to another great one. if either of those guyz gad beenb killed of in some stupid ass way like getting knocked off a lcif or something i would have been pissed. but this i caould greatly excpet. Retiple going out as the most powerfull being ever. and sub-zero going out in the best twist ending sence The empire strike back.

I'm afriad I'd have to disagree with your theory Oni. While it would be pretty cool, the MK team said themselves they make up the story as they go. I believe they say this in the History and/or Making of Mortal Kombat on the DA CD. Though it is a cool theory, I wouldn't like to see it in effect. I think they need to liven up Reptile's storyline, get him off the Humble Servant routine. They've taken him in so many new directions, and his story, especially now, has so many new possiblities, I just really hope they go with something new. So far in MK he's been nothing more than a slave, and a mistreated one at that. This storyline would do nothing but continue that road.
And about Reptile dying off... Though I would love to see him die off as the most powerful creature ever, he still wouldn't even now. Remember, Onaga has his own mind. He has done really nothing more than possess Reptile. Reptile has no control over what he is doing. In a way he's doing nothing out of his usual storyline, serving a Master.
But I have a feeling/hope that if Sindel's ending is in fact the true one, that Reptile will now be on the side of good. Which could turn him back into human form. Seeing as how the storyline says his regression is due to depression. Being around friends rather than masters could lighten his spirits alot, thus opening the door for evolution again. I hope it doesn't happen at all, but if he does start turning human again, I'd like to see it happen like this. And slowly. Not one mintue he's a lizzard the next he's human. That'd just be lame.
Though it would be odd as hell to see a vicious creature such as Reptile fighting for good, his mind is also very primal right now. He's is probably something along the lines of a lost puppy, he'll love and protect anyone who's willing to give him a scrap of food. And then once he starts to evolve again, maybe he'll come to realize that all his evil masters have done is use him and mistreat him. And decide to stay with those who will treat him well. But that's just my theory. It would definately give his story the serious twist it needs, thats for sure.

The longer he stays away from his realm or race the more he evolves.. I think that's how Midway stated how he's transforming all the time.

i really don't like reptile that much but would love to see him return if he does come back i think don't think he would be good or evil i just think he would look out for him self and only helped others in it benefited him

Yes I know, he's home sick and lonely, which would cause depression in anything with emotions. Wouldn't it? I don't see how just being away from his realm and race could cause him to start losing control of his body, but an extreme emotion such as depression sure can.
However i can't recall if Midway actually said it was the depression from these things that is causing the devolution or if it was just an assumption I made.

I could have sworn Reptile's race was killed off by Shao Kahn, with the exception of Khameleon and Chameleon. And wasn't his reason for joining with Shinnok in MK 4 to either be taken back to his realm or have his people brought back to life....I can't remember can anyone help me out?

Yes, Shao Kahn distroyed his home world. He was supposed to be the last of his race, until they came up with the lame K/Chameleon

IMO If i had to choose right now id'e love to see Onaga have a ending were right before destorying __________, Reptile some how takes back control of his body destorying the dragon kings soul. Now reptile has a bigger stronger body/mind. and instead of haveing Li Mei become his queen i'de love to see Khameleon return as his queen. pnly for both of them to reveal the've been playing EVEYONE good and evil as pawns all this time (MK 3/Trilogy). then have the next game start with Rep and Khan haveing an army or "Raptors" at there command.
