good question. I'd like to know where there are so many threads about "where is x character?" For the record, Kitana Rain Sonya Johnny Cage aren't in this one. No more threads about it. I too get annoyed at seeing the same topics 5 times per page.

some people are saying that reptile just got killed or mutated again and that he's in hiding or some shit. i dunno, i wasn't really paying attention but i've heard that from a few people. im still going with the reptile = onaga thing for some reason. maybe when the egg hatched, he was lured in and got pulled inside by whatever was in there, and it used his body as a host to become stronger and stronger or something. that's what im thinking.

I'm pretty sure part of the story will be that Reptile has something to do with awakening the Dragon King, and he will be in the game as an unlockable.

the only evidence as to the dragon king's actual "birth" is when you finish the game with reptile. a beam of light shoots out of the dragon egg and transforms reptile into the dragon king. this is stated in reptiles ending. there is also a pic of the transformation happining. followed by "The dragon king had returned".
Reptile is not in the game because he was transformed into the dragon king. there are no other official alternate stories as to the dragon king's birth. this is the only one that officially exists. so i beleive the only one that is actually stated in MK:DA.

It kind of makes sense that Reptile is the Dragon King, and for more reasons then his MK:DA ending. Ever since MK1 Reptile has been the right hand man of whoever was in charge. (Shang Stung, Shao Kahn) Always wanted to be next to the seat of power, because he knew one day he would fullfill his destiny and become the Dragon King. Being so close to whoever was in power let Reptile learn their strengths and weaknesses. So when he becomes the DK he already knows how to handle his foes and become ruler of all the realms. My guess is you kill the DK and theirs a finishing cinematic showing Reptile de-evolve back in to his original form, then Reptile is unlocked.

We don't even know if that ending happened though completely the way it went.
Plus it doesn't show Reptile turning into the DK. It only shows him hit by the beam of energy and then the DK is there. That can mean many different things.
So don't go around acting like you're some authority on this matter with your end of story crap. You're not Boon, no that is end of story.

Anywho, where Reptile is is still up in the air. At Fight Night, Ed Boon stated that Reptile had, in fact, become the Dragon King. Whether that story element has changed isn't known.

How can you ssay it means different things if it actually says "A beam of energy shot into Reptile's body, and his sqwemish (sp?) body was twisted and transformed. The profecy had been fulfilled, the dragon king had returned". It means his body was TWISTED and TRANSFORMED into Onaga's.

Here is a thought: Remember we have had fake endings before. We can have fake endings again. Untill the Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance ending is proven wrong I will stick with it.

All that means is that Reptile was transformed. The Dragon King would apparantly return when The Last Dragon was born. Whether that Dragon is Reptile, a new character, a retruning character or just a normal dragon remains to be seen.
It never said Reptile became Onaga.

How about this:
Since the pit stage from MK1 is back, along with the shadows on the moon, does anyone else think it's possible that you have to pull a double flawless to fight Reptile?
Nostalgia seems to be a recurring theme in this game...
