reptile's role in MK6?

So does reptile becomes the dragon king? I've read that in MK6 he'll look more like a dragon as in he'll start to evolve. Perhaps The dragon kings true form might not even be in MK6 rather Reptiles body will be used but his mind will be possessed. I would suspect that Reptile could become the Dragon King because of Nitara and Cyrax's ending had something to do with his...
