Does any1 think that Liu Kang will make a return from MK:DA in MK: Deception????? I hope he does....

if he was brought back a lot of people would lose faith in the mk series

it took guts to kill him and kahn off..to bring them back or one of them back would be a waste and piss people off

I think that you are going to find a lot of people going against your opinion on this issue.... I would say that over 80% of the people here cracked open a cold one when they found out Liu Kang was dead.... I personally liked him and wouldn't mind seeing him again though so I agree with you. But I doubt many others are going to petition for his return.

I'd rather he didn't come back. I think he's a boring/irritating character, I never use him, I prefer Kung Lao as the hero, and a little consistency with characters' deaths would be nice. I mean as of now, the only characters we know for a fact are dead are Liu Kang, Goro, and Sheeva, and the original Sub-Zero. Let them stay dead.

Ya I get a little tired of the resurection of charaters as well. I still wish that Johnny Cage would have stayed dead myself, but I agree from here on out everyone should stay dead once they are killed. The smartest thing to do is just never mention a character's death in the storyline if they aren't sure if they will be brought back later... Just assume they are out of the picture for a while.

I don't think Liu Kang should return. Him being dead gives a good feel to the Mortal part of Mortal Kombat. I think it prooves that any character can die at anytime if they let their guard down just once.

On the other hand, I think Shao Kahn would be a great character to return. It would re-establish Kahn's servants as those with reviving powers. It would also imply that no matter how hard Earth Realm tries, true evil may not ever die.

When Liu Kang died, i screamed in happiness like a school girl. I dont know, i find him to be really annoying, i'm glad that hes dead, and i dont think he should ever come back. The idea of him coming back and being evil doesnt get me excited.

Ah but you forget the Title: Deception. If the title is literal like MKDA then possibly a dark, sinister force could return in the shape of Liu Kang.

Whats the point of using special powers and weapons and "Finishing" your opponent if they are just going to be brought back later?

What was suppose to make this martial arts tournament so special was that at the end of the fight, you could kill your opponent. It kinda loses its awe if they are just easily brought back.

Liu Kang is coming back in MKD. I'm %99 certain on this. There are certain people with connections on this board, mainly the mods, who have strongly hinted at how Liu Kang will return.

...I was pissed to see the death of Liu Kang...he would've been my main pick in Deadly Alliance. But since they spoiled his death before the game was released I sighed and moved on. So I hope he comes in this game, with some kick ass fighting styles to piss you Liu Kang haters off. grin

when i first heard of liu kang being being dead in mkda i was shocked, which is what you want i think because he was such a big name in the mk series. but overall i liked the idea and i would like to keep him dead. i agree what all you guys are saying with keeping fighters dead when they die.

I don't know how I feel about liu Kang coming back, he might actually be a really cool character once they add the martial arts fighting styles to him and it isn't all about fire balls and bicycle kicks.

When I first heard that Liu Kang was dead I was happy. But not because I hate Liu Kang (which I didn't), it showed me that the MK: Team was going for something new...and they did. I'd much rather have Kung Lao over Liu Kang anyday...and I think the MK: Team had been planning this even before MK4, in mk3 I remember saying "Kung Lao is like a replacment to Liu Kang."

FIRST OFF HATE LIU KANG, BUT WHEN I SAW THE CUTSCNENE ON MKDA I REALIZED THAT HE WOULD HAVE BEEN THE BEST CHARACTER IN THE GAME, FIRST OFF THE GRAPHICS WERE GREAT ON HIM, AND HE LOOKED LIKE A FAST FIGHTER AND EVEN HAD THE BEST FIGHTING STYLES TOO,HE ALSO LOOKED IN THAT CUTSCENE THAT HE WOULD HAVE SOME NASTY COMBO MOVES LIKE KUNG LAO, THEY MESSED UP BY KILLING HIM THEY NEED HIMBACK WITH GLOWING GREEN EYES AND LOOKING EVIL I DONT CARE, JUST HAVE NASTY COMBOS AND COOL FIGHTING STYLES I THINK HIM AND KHAN SHOULD AND WILL COME BACK SO I HATE LIU , BUT AFTER THAT SCENE DONT LIE U KNOW HE WOULD HAVE BEEN ONE OF THE BEST CHARCTERS IN THE GAME IF HE WAS STILL IN SO STFU.

Although I agree with you that he would have been awesome..... you probably shouldn't write this in all caps because people will take it as a flame comment. Also it probably wasn't smart to make a good argument like you did and then end it with STFU.... Just my personal opinion man. Just use an intelligent argument rather than swearing to prove your point.

At first I didn't care for Liu Kang, until I notice how many Liu haters there are, so now I like him. I really think he will return, because he is, whether anyone likes it or not, Mortal Kombat. Just think, he has been in every game except DA and there is a reason for that. So I really believe that he will come back. Doesn't have to be MK6 or MK7, but he will come back. Just my opinion

I was jumping with joy when i found out that Liu Kang died. I liked him in the movie, But absolutley hated him in the game.

I set up my VCR to tape that scene in the FMV where Shang Tsung snapped his neck... And i watched it over and over again like it was Christmas
