there must be something in that right hallway it would not be there if there wasent. i dont think they would put something there like that and not use it. ah well we just didnt have time to finish it.. yeah right they had time to do whatever they wanted maybe all the extra fatalities and pits are locked right now because Ed Boon wants to prove that mk is the best fighting game around even without the fatalities mabye there waiting to give out the code until thats proved.

if boon wanted to prove tht MK was the best fighting game ever (which it definatly is) then why would he put the best part in a locked area, it doest make sense, if he wanted to prove that the game was better, then they would be unlocked, am i right?

at fright night he said they wanted to make a game that had the best fighting engine and compete with tekken and v4 and the fans of those have allways said that mk is only popular because of the gore i think with this game they wanted everyone to like it cause the fighting engine and everyone does even non mk fans. if the right hallway ends up being nothing i will be very suprised i think there waiting for the pal version to be out for awhile before they reveal it. the krypt and konquest are not more important than fatalities i hope theyve just been messin with us and if theres no more to this game than the version code they better make up for it in the next game.

DArqueBishop> smma asks: 'Is there anything down the right hallway from the menu?'

[21:47] there is in fact another hallway

[21:47] the right hallway goes to a set of stairs leading down...

[21:48] unfortunately it cannot be accessed, and was intended to be another menu area.

yea right!

Who says "stairs leading down". I have PAL and it doesn't show stairs, it doesn't veer right at all.

The corridor should have been bricked in so we can't see it at all if there is really nothing there. That would have been easy enough to do.

The MK Dev Team said it, if you don't want to believe it, then don't. That's what they said: it was gonna be another menu, with stairs leading down, but they couldn't finish it in time (maybe the turn off barriers and other stuff, IMO).

No doubt it would have had more options to turn on/off or something, if it was to turn out to be an extra menu as they claim. We'll see what happens though. Perhaps indeed this is what happened as they claim, or for all we know they may be yanking our chain by getting us a little upset about the hallway being incomplete and then blowing us away all of a sudden with something special there, really, who knows.

Heh, I know I for one would withold a big secret till a while later if it was my game, give people a chance to try find it out and then if no-one has discovered it, reveal it 2 months or so down the track after release and then people will go rushing back to the game and enjoy the new goodies.
It is a good ploy to improve the game's logetivity not only in the amount of play, but discussion, speculation and the like

hehe, I really hope I am right too, and that it leads to an extra menu that has options such as turning off arena barriers, turning on stage fatalities or more than one falality and other goodies like that. You know, I just find it a little perculiar that some code for stage fatalities still exists there, and the right hallway. I mean, okay, let's take a look at this scenario. They plan to add in the extra menu on the right hallway but don't manage to add the options, so effectively, the hallway is rendered useless, but, it might be too much work at that point to redesign the look of the main menu hallway and remove the one on the right.

Now, onto stage fatalities. They obviously were to be put in, but didn't make it to time constraints, so why not remove this small fragment of code for them? I mean, I don't really understand how the coding of this game takes place, it's something that's way over my head, but if there's no stage fatalities, then why not remove the code? So that makes two things there that there's evidence of being, but they claim they "didn't make it in".

I dunno, this is just my speculative point of view on this, I'm not laying it down as fact, but something's a little fishy.

I could end up being very wrong, no doubt about that, but, wouldn't you think that if you were to get people down on the absence of stage falalities for instance, then, sometime down the track tell them they ARE actually there and were hidden all along, wouldn't these people suddenly spring to joy and rush to the game, I know I would.
