I've been playing MK (literally) from MK1 when I was floored by the realistic digitized fighters and all the blood and gore. All my friends loved it and was so fun to get together and play. Little by little my friends drifted away from the MK games and soon games in general but I stayed by MK's side letting it rape my wallet year after year of $50 only to be disappointed 4 times (if you include buying TE for the GBA) in the last 5 years--- 5 out of 5 if you count the nail in the coffin announced last night.

I loved Mortal Kombat, it's something that I held very dear to me. I'll likely always remember the fun times I had mostly with my old Sega Genesis at my parent's house.... but things have gone way too far and have been waay too bad for waaay too long and it's time for me to let go. Mortal Kombat is no longer the same as it used to be for me. It's... I don't know... tainted, and I don't want to be a part of it anymore.

Now I'm just glad that I never got the dragon logo tattoo like I'd planned!

P.S.- If I had faith and planned on coming back I'd be a little upset by the fact that my old MKO account seems to have been deleted. Maybe by inactivity? *shrug* it doesn't matter... Goodbye MK, it's been fun.
