Well, they are trying to do new things, not only the same moves and Fatalities all the game.
However, I still want to see a Flame Spit Fatality of Scorpion, taking his mask, show the skull and blast. Would be cool in new generations MK.
About Nightwolf's Thunder, well, he had a Fatality in MK3 that he summons a thunder and strikes with the axe to kill the victim. It is a good move for him, specially when your opponent are down.

Rain had the lightning move - not Raiden

I actually like doing Scorpion's head rip fatality to Noob...its such a befitting and ironic payback. But i think it would go better with Sub...or maybe even Noob. That would've been a great hint as to what his true identity was before you get to his ending.
