Scorpion will have 2 different swords in MKD?

In this recent Gamespot pic, you can see that Scorpion has his broad sword from MKDA. In previous movies you can see that Scorpion has a shorter sword with fire elemental properties. Maybe hes gonna make use of the multiple swords that he has strapped to his back in this installment. Interesting...

Im pretty sure both swords are not stage weapons. In two separate MKD movies I've seen scorpion use the fire sword in the NetherBelly and the Beetle Palace. So that rules that out. And, the stage weapon for the rain stage is a hammer. There goes that possibility also.

My guess is that these pics are older than the trailers in which we saw that shorter fire-sword.

That ninja sword will be only for Kenshi this time.
The shorter and fire-sword is Scorpion ́s weapon.

Scorpion should have his to fighting styles and then the ninja sword then that shorter fire sword. That will NEVER happen though. Im think the ninja sword fits scorpion better than Kenshi even though Kenshi has a Katana.They have exactly the same moves and I think Scorpion is better with the sword. Kenshi should have a new weapon.
Maybe something like this

Scorpion should have the ninja sword and not the shorter sword. Who cares if the sword is the same as Kenshi. Scorpion kicked serious ass with that sword in Deadly Alliance. Plus when I was watching the trailier with Scorpion using that little sword, it was like no real combos for him.

That pic was just taken before they gave him a new sword. That's it. The sword in the picture is the one from MK:DA, just a place holder until they added his Mugai Ryu. smile

...fire sword? where? i watched all the movies that werent monsterously huge [more than 20-30mb] i didnt see any fire sword...

That would be very cool to have a sword that is on fire for Scorpion. They have a frozen sword for Sub-Zero. Let's hope that they have a Fire sword for Scorpion.

Its not literally a fire sword, where it's constantly on fire, it just emits fire when you swing it.
I like the idea of using multiple swords but that probobly (sorry i can spell everything but probolly) muffled sobs...

Maybe on scorps alt costume he can have a diff sword the same but like on fire to make it cooler

the sword he has in that pic is the same one he has in all the trailers.
