I can't remember what his previous story was, but what if he goes back to his original story if Quan Chi isn't making it into MK:D? Just a thought.

If Quan isn't in MKD, it'll probably mean he is dead, unless Li Meis ending happened and neither his or Shangs endings happened. Scorpion will be pissed if someone else killed Quan or if Quan manages to evade him somehow. If that happens, he'll obviously continue on after him.

If Quan isn't there, then Scorpion really has no purpose. He will need a new story to stay in the game and that's why his revenge story seems to be branched out as much as possible just to keep him around.

I hate Scorpion and always have, and am peeved he's returning. i dislike him because he was always after Sub Zero the Quan Chi. They should give him something new to do or else he will become the lamest of the lame.

no i think scorpion is a really cool charchter with cool stuff like storylines,moves,fatalties,and appereances althogh his story has always been kind of the same it was always good his spear move changed evrything in mk in mk1 he was the best mk2 he ruled thet game,mk4 HE WAS DA BOMB he look was awesome and mk:da damn he looked better then all of the other mk games. and scorpion was never lame he would never be lame not in mk:d or in any other games to come.kitana REALLY needs to get a new storyline his storyline is all about goro oh im gonna cry boho scorpion would kick kitanas ass anytime he wants

Take away his spear and you take away one of his major cool factors. Take away his story, and you take away his purpose. Scorpion is pretty one sided unlike most of the other characters imo.

Just like I stated twice before Scorpion is getting old, Its the same old thing with him. Revenge, revenge, revenge!!! I used to be one of the people that argued with the sub-zero fanboys of why scorpion is better back in the days of MK 1. I liked the fact that he wanted revenge for himself and his family.It was an original story and I felt the man's pain. But damnit enough is enough!!! Damn near 12 years later and look at him, still on that same rock he started on. Even if his enemies has changed.My God, something had better happen to him with this new mk or else Sub-zero's my new No.1 character.

yo dude scorpions story has always been good althought his story was kind of the same always had his changes in mk4 it change to quan chi so there ugo and scorpion will be the best there is always

like I stated before,how many damn times can he escape from hell or wherever he goes when his physical body is destroyed.also,for everyone who complained about liu kang will see the same with scorpion only worse IMO.scorpion's purpose in mk is getting too repetitive.

Scorpion is one of the most-liked characters gameplay wise and THAT is why he has remained. His story is dragged on because people like him A LOT, I never played Scorpion but for some reason I like him a lot and always want him to be in MK. Same for Sub Zero.

Scorpion in MK1 AND 2 was after Sub Zero 1 and he killed him then disappeared.

Scorpion then repearred in UMK3 for some unknown reason, I think Shao Kahn recruited him.

In MK4, Scorpion was after Sub Zero 2 cuz Quan Chi put him up to it.

In MKDA, Scorpion is after Quan Chi for the murder of his clan and family.

In MKD, Scorpion is back because Quan Chi is not dead. If Quan Chi was dead then Scoprion would cease becoming a spectre and finally rest in peace.

Storyline options are narrow but here is as good as it gets:

1- Shao Kahn in need of allies will help Scorpion find Quan Chi but when Scorpion finds Quan Chi, he discovers that Shao Kahn has already killed him, cheating Scorpion of his revenge. Scorpion now goes after Shao Kahn or fades into non-existence as miserable and tormented soul.

2- Quan Chi holds the souls of Scorpion's family as hostage and makes Scorpion his protecter and bitch since the Earth Warriors and Kahn are after him.

3- Scorpion discovers that a small group of his clan still exist and joins them or something along those lines.

Here's a possibility: Quan Chi has resurrected Scorpion's wife, hypnotised her (like Shao Kahn did to Sindel), and took her as his own wife. To Scorpion, this is the ultimate travesty. Of course, he's still out for vengeance against Quan Chi, but now that a piece of his former life has returned, some of his humanity has come with it. He would reveal a more emotional side, deepening his character.

HAHAHAHA!!! That's so funny man. Quan Chi would then tie up Scorpion and fuck his wife in front of his very eyes. :D
