Yeah, it's always fun finding new secrets. But playing in arcade mode is also really fun.

this is like the climax of the game... waiting for it to come out, checkin to see if anything new has been released... new screens... new characters.. new fatalities being shown in part, new modes being revealed... all the build up... then when the game comes out, hundreds of new members join and make this place a drag for 2 months... add that with the strategy guides that come out 2 weeks before the game...


i just come here during this time... then when the game is basically in my front door, i sit there on the couch with friends and we do it old school style spenidng hours and hours trying to figure out everything ourselves...



I dunno how many people on here are old school and have been playin since day 1, like myself, but for all yall youngins who only know MK on the console... the real thrill of Mortal Kombat is going one on one against another person and either a) pulling off a move/fatality that no one else in the room has seen b) having someone do something to you that you have never seen... and the best part of this, is not telling them how u did it, and them not tellin you how they did it...


now a days, these strategy guides ruin everything. When MK comes out, we turn the living room into an arcade room and do everything old school...

Nah, i was saying this period in time, where we are several months from the release but Midway keeps dropping little things to keep our hunger up... i love this time... all the speculation and guessing (althought everything being the Dragon King is getting old fast). I dunno... i just love it... every day hoping to see a new picture... I'm 22 and I still love Mortal Kombat... i dont even like video games any more, at least not nearly as much... i have my own son now and I look at all the stuff he likes, hes only three, but its still funny seeing the little stuff he obsesses over... and it reminds me of how I use to be 14 and made my own MKII strategy guides and sell them to kids in Junior High...

I dunno... i just love this phase of the production... ok any way... when the hell are we getting some new info... its been like 3 days since that movie was released...

Exactly, even though it has online play, nothing will beat the old days of coin-op fistpounding FUN! Seriously though, actual face to face interaction with gaming is dying... hell look at this, we can't even talk about MK without being online.. I have maybe 2 friends who will even let me bring up Videogames let alone MK.

Yeah, for me the thrill of MK has always been in the secrets...and that's why MKDA was such a huge disappointment for me. They jsut completely spoiled EVERYTHING before the game was out. We saw over half the fatals, we knew who the two lame-ass secret characters were, we knew all the stages, all the stories...by the time the game was out, everybody already knew everything. That's why I hope to GOD that they don't reveal too much about MKD before it hits...the Stage Fatality they showed was already a bit too much...yeah its only one stage fatal, but still...I like to find those thigns out for myself.

i agree with u all. finding stuff is run, once u found them, u found out that the items in the Koffins sucks!!! and i couldnt even wager bc i only had one xbox controller.so im still working on unlocking the koffins. some how to xbox got corruped. so now im just going to go get drunk someplace well waiting for mkd to comes out. or just posting some more peace outzzzzzzz...
