I think there is going to be more than just 20 characters. I mean think about it, if its only 20, that means there is only 3 more to reveal per side. Im thinking that it will be 16 per side because of the ? marks on worldscollide.com

It's tough to assume the bad guys are left. There was never any mention of a 50/50 split between good and bad. For all we know, 90% of the roster is good guys... I hope not though, I want to see some more bad guys... maybe a boss or two...

Other than the sub boss and main boss(es) I don't think they'll be playable. Specifically speaking Shao Kahn and Darkseid if they are the end they won't be on the select screen.

My guess for the MK side is a toss up between
Johnny Cage, Raiden, Kung Lao, Reptile, Baraka, Mileena, Kano

Even though those are the only iconic characters left.

Hmmm... Maybe even an arch-villain, or a ninja villain?...

Catwoman is really more of a neutral character, like Scorpion, no matter what the MK team or whoever is writing this says.

im no comic fan but when these big events go down in comics the villains are ALWAYS outnumbered i thought...kano should be the next and only bad guy revealed for mk

lol at Ras Al Ghul. Yeah, that's a long shot. Deathstroke is the obvious one, because he looks like a ninja despite having nothing whatsoever to do with them. Mystical superhero would be Captain Marvel due to circumstance, but the hints Kotaku gave were so vague I wouldn't be surprised if they just made the whole thing up.

If we're going by their clues then the remaining characters would be Wonder Woman as the Amazon queen (she's in regardless), Deathstroke as the ninja villain, for archvillain it's either Lex Luthor or Darkseid, and for epic villain either Darkseid or Braniac. I'm having doubts about Luthor's inclusion due to logic errors during finishing moves involving his battle suit, unless they redesign his battle suit to be slimmed down.

He looks more like a lucha, than a ninja... as well as having nothing to do with ninjas!

Little known fact: Ninja are not traditionally identified by brightly colours masks.


I'm not sure if it completely squashes the theory, but that's a very interesting thought. I guess there's always the chance we get an MK3 job with some black mixed in with the red blood.

Then there's always the outside chance the powersuit could have destructable functionality building on the mechanics of the mask stuff we've already seen.

More food for thought: a later Kotaku post makes a more specific insinuation that the clues did not including Batman and Superman (RE: prototypical superhero).

I know lol I was about to say like ~Crow~ mentioned, why do so many people think Catwoman is a villian? She's always been more of a neutral character.

My wish would be Ermac or Smoke but I doubt either will make it at this point, hopefully the next game

i don't think anyone outside of like three people here know who parrallax is and since they're going with icons i'd say the chances of seeing him are slim to none.

I would think people confuse her as a villain based of Ed Boon saying the Heroes will have Brutalities and the Villains will have Fatalities... and even though she may be neutral she still finishes using a Fatality.

my guess is still Mileena,Raidan,and Reptile. I have no clue who they will put in on the dc side cause i really dont know many people on that side.
If they put in WonderWomen, Martian Manhunter, and that hawk lady they could have most of the justice league haha

Yeah I wonder if they are gonna make Raiden evil or good if he is even in the game but hopefully my fav Johnny cage is in it.

Even less probably knew about Captain Marvel.

Rumor has it that Sindel's gonna make the cut.

If she does, I hope that she's good. I like her better when she's good.
