Is any of Shaolin Monks considered canon? It seemed they wanted to rewrite a number of things but the whole game obviously can't be canon so, please answer this question even though i'm sure it was a nightmare on this board when the game came out.

Although certain things (like the deaths of important characters such as Jade, Reptile, etc.) cannot be canon, other parts of the game certainly are canon. Things like Liu Kang and Kung Lao's rivalry which only really appeared in MKSM are referred to by later game's such as in their MKA endings. And I think it's safe to say that no MK game will ever come up with an explanation for Sub-Zero's scar that contradicts MKSM.

I refuse to believe that how Sub-Zero got his scar in Shaolin Monks was canon!

Bullshit's what it was, I personally prefer to believe he got it from Sektor and Cyrax.
