well he should use the events with the return of Dragon King to his advantage.

If Midway and Boon want a chance to put a major push on a possibly dying baddie...Shinnok could be the guy...not as a boss...but play a key role in the game...of course, give him some moves, a new arsenal...his arsenal in MK 4 was a joke.

But who beat Shinnok? Was it Kang? rayden? Or Subzero?

I think it was Quan-Chi who betrayed Shinnok. It states somewhere that Quan stole the amulet from Shinnok. I could be wrong though.

I believe you could say Quan Chi betrayed Shinnok, and took the amulet, and killed him, you could incorporate that storyline, without comprimising the outcome of MK 4...whatever it was, and whoever "won" mk 4...you could still say Shinnok was betrayed by Quan Chi....and it's probably the most likely scenario.

First off, that RED for the storyline is terrible for the eyes! Ack!

I think that MK4 story & characters was just pathetic. Was nowhere near as good a game as the pre-installments to that game.

Shinnok was a good idea, but the character itself was shitty! I do think that it would be good to have him back in the next installment but definately not as a boss character.

heres the way i see it shinnok let quan chi steal the amulet as a means of taking over his sole (quan chi being a sorcerer and all didnt allow him to take over his soul) his plan worked, his servents quickly brought shinnok back to life and stole quan chis amulet back (after it had taken over his soul) now with quan chi doing shinnoks bidding with no way of betrayel the can be no one that can stop the elder god known as shinnok (except scorpian)

shinnok was a rip-off of shang-tsung with out the visible changes.. the story was weak and the character dull and over used so in my oppinion he sucked big hairy sack

1st - Quan Chi defeated Shinnok. Shinnok never had the real amulet, Quan did, that wa show he defeated Shinnok.
2nd - Scorpion then tackled Quan to the netherealm.
3rd - Beginning of MK:DA. (Just doing this part of MK4, not the whole thing)

Shinnok has a gay look in the game. The way he was in the MK Anihilation was so much better with the black cloak
