No. He was never a part of MK and just a character made up by Eurocom, so he has no real importance. Honestly he just looked like a Shao Kahn rip off anyway.

To bad, i mean, if they gave him a story, and actually put him in the game, it wouldve been alot better. Perhaps he wouldve been a warrior from the neatherealm and rose like the oni's did. If done properly, i wouldnt mind if he actually become the next boss. From the pics, i think he looks pretty bad ass.

He looks kind of cool, sort of like the bad guy from Krull, but I'm gonna agree with shang heihachi and say that he just doesn't fit. I didn't really like anything that Eurocom did with the home versions of MK4 (Noob was almost cool with his scythe and so was Goro, but it just felt glued together and not really like anything special). I think the Dragon King will be more than enough boss for all of us.

I think Belokk deserves a chance in MK some time. He looks cooler than Moloch was.

yeah I think most people who were fans when MK Gold was new were pissed off because gamespot-- or was it game informer? anyways one of them put Belokk in early pictures and then there was no Belokk-- pissed the hell out of me at least-- Belokk needs to be in MK.

If they refine his look and make him unique, Belokk could be:

1- A new oni character (very interesting)
2- Shao Kahn's alternate costume
3- A sub-boss but he isn't big enough.

We've never had a real DEMON character in MK for such a long time. With the arrival of the oni, this is Midway's chance of introducing the oni as a new demon race... They are sure as hell better than cheap vampires.

I wouldn't mind Belokk being in. A good story and him as a playable character would rock.

I read some where that Belokk was only in the Japnesse version of MKGold.
