Ok, to answer all your "should (fill in the blank) return question I see, I'll say it all right here.

Kai: Rip-off, though more interesting than Jarek. I have an odd feeling that for some reason he will be seen again, someone likes him, he has concept drawing in the krypt. But IMO, he should just stay away.

Jarek: Kano rip-off. Big time. But then again, he has as much place in the story as Hsu Hao. I don't want to see Jarek, and I don't think I will see him again in future MKs.

Tanya: Jade rip-off. Notice a pattern here? She sucks, and I really hated her story as well. IMO, worse new character in MK4.

Fujin: Not bad, he was alright I guess. Original, may be back one day. Still plays a part in the story, I wouldn't complain if I seen him again.

Reiko: By far the best new character in MK4. (minus Quan Chi, of course) Storyline is odd, I like that. Lots of speculation on him needs to be cleared up. He should be in MK6.

Shinnok: Oops, forgot him almost. Shang Tsung rip-off. He was also very dumb looking. He reminded me of someone who would appear in alice in wonderland. Still better than some, but leave him alone in the netherealm.

There, all the characters who only made an appearance in MK4. Reiko is the only one that is a must.
