Should there be a strategy guide to accompany the release?

I personally say no to the tradition of giving it all away in a strategy guide..

I say we should have to wait.. for old school days sake! They didn't come out with any strategy guides with all the fatalities and secrets for the old games until months later.

no way... i dont' want to spoil all the secrets... hopefully this one will have more secrets though like the old ones and some better hidden characters.... but don't need everythign being revealed right away... and defintaely don't want to know everyhign before it's even released... all i want to know before i play the game is all the characters except for hidden characters and sub boss and boss... but all playable characters i would like to know first... no more alt costumes... no fatalities.. nothign... till play the game... and then i want to figure secrets out the old way... not hearing about it and then doing it.. takes all the fun out of it...

I say Yes...Why? Because I pick both up at the same time. I store the guide away if I have any problems. I personally think they should give us a complete guide, though. One with all the fix-ins. It'd probably end up being like 18 bucks though. Oh well. Strat guides come out about 2 weeks before the game. Either way, I say yes. I enjoy looking at the screens and such, which they should include alot more of, in the next guide. ^_^

I say no to the strategy guide but thats not gonna stop companies from making them before MKD's release. They know a new mortal kombat strategy guide will bring in HUGE revenue.

Since I got online for the 1st time back in 1997 I haven't bought a video game mag and any stratgy guides since. Why do you ask? Well since you are online you have access to most if not all video game information that comes out. ,Moves, codes and secrets are all accessable the second they are found on the web where as in a mag some things weren't found by the time they have printed it. So to me strategy guides are a waste of money if you have a ISP.

nope,

like the first mk or second they should release it in magizines over time
Or if you really don't wanna know sh*t about this game then you opt to boycott all MK:D internet info. How hard is that?

I just miss the days like when MK4 came out.. going on the forums to discover what people found out. It was a hunt.. not very easy. It made me appreciate the fatalities I knew.

I remember paying 5 bucks for a fatality print up at this one mall I wasn't normally at when MK2 was a couple months old.. I went back to my neck of the woods and everyone was baffled..

I say yes, i love the guides, Im not one who cares if things are spoiled early cause we're gonna find out all the secrets anyway. If you dont want shit spoiled for you, then dont go out of your way to find info on the game... simple as that. Contrary to what most MK fans think, there are other fans who actually look forward to the guides... myself included.

I say no, but the only thing I want to know is the button combinations for the fatalities and other finishing moves (without their pictures and descriptions).

I definatly say yes. I've gotten the guide before MK4 and MK:DA. It's a sneak peak, not a give-away. It also gets more people to buy the game.

hmm.. sometimes the stratagy guide is not accuret.. take mk trilogy for exsample... they never even said how to do reptiles other 2nd fatality.. the acide puke one.. allwell.. i think if u don't want it don't get it... and if u wanna know secrets go to gamefaqs.com or somewhere... but.. in time u will want to see what the fatalitys are.. and what are some of the codes... and gameshark codes for u cheaters....

now lets don't turn this to a dam cheaters thread.. everyone does... its part of life lol..
