Maybe they should have like one where if you are doing really good with beating the characters then you get a bonus and you try and collect as much koin as you can in an alloted time.

Or they flash you a picture of a character in black and white for only 2 milisec. and you guess who it is??

But Might/Sight got a little boring after a while...

Post your ideas and say if you like Test your might and sight or dislike it

Here's some old thoughts I had.
-------------------------------

I have one suggestion for two mini games. Since the characters have honed their martial arts skills and abilities, it would be great to see them demonstrate their control over them. That would be the basis of mini games called "Test Your Concentration" and "Test Your Skill".

Test Your Concentration

Overview

This mini game would test a characters control of his/her inner chi force strength and focus it in extinguishing a set of lit candles. This would have the character in a ready pose or some sort of half-horse stance standing 3-4 ft from a candle while concentrating on focusing on building up their chi.

Description

One Candle:
A character standing 3-4 feet away from a candle is in a ready posture concentration on building up their chi force. As their chi force is building up an aura appears around their entire body. Then one their chi force reaches the bar, indicating that the character is able to extinguish the candle, Kabal for example then either throws out a punch or palm strike that is 12 inches from the candle flame. The force of Kabal’s chi force would extinguish the flame. Once the candle goes out, the announcer can say "Outstanding"!, "Excellent"!, and "Well Done"!

Two or more Candles:
The same description would apply for two or more candles. The candles would be lined up in a straight row and Kabal, standing in front of the candles would have to build up his chi power high enough to extinguish the first candle and each other candle behind it. As each candle goes out, the announcer can say "Outstanding"!, "Excellent"!, and "Well Done"!

Clearing the entire row of candles:
Once Kabal clears the entire row of candles, the announcer would then say "Flawless"!

Test Your Skill

Overview

This mini game would allow characters to hone one of their signature techniques by way of destroying stone life size representations of other characters.

Description

One Statue:
Let's say Scorpion is standing 50 feet away looking at a statue of Quan Chi and his skill meter rises over the bar. He then throws his spear while saying "Get Over Here"! and the statue of Quan Chi shatters and explodes. Once the statue explodes, the announcer can say "Outstanding"!, "Excellent"!, and "Well Done"!

Two or more Statues:
Eight statues are positioned throughout different locations of a courtyard and Scorpion must raise his skill level past each bar in order for his spear to shatter each statue. This also have Scorpion have his spear to more around the courtyard shattering statues that would have the camera follow the spear in some cool way throughout. As each statue explodes, the announcer can say "Outstanding"!, "Excellent"!, and "Well Done"!

Clearing all the Statues:
Once Scorpion clears all the statues in the courtyard, the announcer would then say "Flawless"!

Signature techniques and game variation:
As with Scorpion using his spear in this fashion, the game would vary to the character used in some way. Sub Zero for example would have to freeze a row of statues, Sindel would have to shatter a row of statues with her scream, and so on.

Test Your Endurance

Overview

This mini game will test the endurance of a standing chracter who has their arms outstretched in front of them ready to recieve blows from a monk wielding a wooden board, a brick slab and a stone slab to their abdomen and legs. Then it would continue with the character lying on a bed of nails with a one to five concrete blocks on his/her chest with a monk standing near with a large hammer.

Description

Jax for example, must have his endurance meter go past the bar in order to withstand the blow from the monk at every interval to obtain coins.

If Jax cannot succeed in this Test Of Endurance then he'll fall to the floor while gripping his abdomen in pain, fall to the floor screaming while holding his broken leg, or be impaled by the bed of nails with the announcer saying "You Suck"!

That would be funny to see!

*ends post bowing in respect*

test your might had the classic feel to it. test your sight was kinda kiddy carnival. they should have more of those spill 50 pints of blood like they had in Konquest mode. i just hope they dunt start rhyming other things too. who knows. we could be playing test your kite or some gay shit.

ghostdragon some worthwhile ideas there.

Shame when good, well thought out posts like this are allowed to fade away while the usual dribble congregates up the top.

I just thought of one.

I think there should be one called "Test Your Strength". Basically, 2 characters kneel down or sit on a rock table and have an arm wrestle. Whoever taps "A" or whatever other buttons the most and fastest wins.

Lets use Scorpion and Subzero for example. There in a room and a whole bunch of monks are around them in a circle watching and cheering. It could show Scorpion and Subzero from there waste and up doing an arm wrestle if it looks to weird showing them kneeling down. But anyway they both place there arms on a flat rock surface that has a standing. There arms connect and they both look at each other while doing the arm wrestle. The players would have to keep pressing A or more buttons constantly to win (or maybe a button pattern?). If Subzero were to be winning it would show his arm slowly pushing Scorpions to Scorpions side, and Scorpions arm would be struggling and shaking trying to come back up. Note that while Subzero is winning, his arm would be shaking to, to make it look more realistic.

And finally, whoever wins, the winner slams the losers hand repeatly on the table. The winner gets up and throws his hands up in the air while the loser shakes his head or holds his/hers forehead in shame.

There could also be one where the characters use there projectiles and such to hit certain objects that are flying or moving. Baraka would use his blade spark, Reptile would use acid, Subzero's ice, Ermacs soul ball, ETC.

Maybe there can be a game called "Test Your Power" where 2 characters are locked in a arm position trying to push the other over a line. Lets use Noob and Smoke for example.

Picture Noob and Smoke both in a position where each others hands are on each others shoulders and there trying to push the other by force(there both standing btw). Noob would have a red line behind him and so would Smoke. You would either have to press buttons repeatly or do a big button combination to push your opponent. Whoever does whatever the fastest, the opponent slowly gets overpowered and pushed a bit. You keep doing this until you push your opponent past a certain line. Once this happens, a bunch of monks from behind could come up to the loser and start kicking him/her while he/she is on the floor. The winner to stay standing waving his/hers hands. So basically your trying to overpower your opponent with brute force in a physical engaged lockdown.

I just thought of another. Perhaps there could be a game where you and your opponent are throwing boulders at each other trying to hit one another. Whoever gets hit by like 5 boulders loses. To avoid the boulders, you have to either dodge or do a power dash/swing like in MKDA. So picture this. The screen is split in half and player 1 is the top screen and player 2 is the bottom screen. Player 1 sees his opponent on his screen and same for player 2. Both players are in like a huge gym and theres a line that seperates them both. So basically they both have to stay on there sides. There are a set of boulders on each of there sides. Now lets use Baraka and Sektor for example. Baraka would have to pick up a boulder and throw it at sektor. Sektor could dodge/dash it and it would miss him. If it hits him the boulder shatters. If Baraka runs out of boulders on his side he would have to wait for Sektor to throw his and if Sektors misses Baraka then Baraka gets his because Sektors boulder is now on Barakas side. After 5 hits, someone loses.

You could do this against CPU or your opponent(Player 2).

Tell me what you think, i would love to hear some feedback. Be honest please. I'll try and think of more ideas.smile

I think it would work best if some element of risk was involved. Say a blade was positioned upright where the players hands would fall if defeated. And just when the losers hand falls on the blade he yells out "No. NO! NOOOOOOOO!!!" before his hand falls on the blade. The the loser gets up holding his/her hand in great pain while the victor raises their hands in victory.

Yes I like your ideas, especially the first one. I'd go for sequences over mashing myself.

The idea I present here I call,

"Running the Gauntlet"

There is a start line and finish line.

You are in a large arena with crowds cheering and jeering.

You need to survive a series of traps and at times opponents through quick reaction time via sequential button pressing. One false move and you are DEAD!

Examples are:

*Dodging Raidens Lightning strikes
*Dodging Cyrax's Nets
*Dodging Sektors missiles
*Swinging over spiked pits
*Avoiding Shao Khan swinging his hammer with the crowd chanting, "Kill, kill"
*Ducking attackers and counter-attacking such as ducking attackers from Barakas race and on the way up lopping their heads off and continuing

The scenarios could change/get harder the further through story-mode you get and could change depending on your good/evil/neutral allignment (eg. good fighters don't need to dodge Raidens lightning strikes)

Ghostdragon, your ideas are all great. Having a bloody punishment for losing the arm wrestle would indeed make MK look very dark, even for games. The blade idea is sweet.glasses

I love these as well, especially dodging different characters attacks and projectiles. I can just picture it, it would definately be a great mini-game in a future MK game.

Thanx dude.

There is tonnes of potential for mini-games that stick close to the MK games themselves, as has been shown here by a few different posters.
