Well, this is strange to me
Young Shujinko trains with Bo Rai Cho long time ago.
Now Shujinko is old and looking more old than Bo Rai Cho itself
This isn't strange?
Maybe is Bo Rai Cho origin - like Kitana he is from Outworld and doesn't get old too easily.

For the most in-depth, in-detail, Mortal Kombat lore analysis vids, there's only one source:

That's exactly right. Bo Rai Cho, Tanya, Kitana, and lots more people from Outworld are thousands of years old, and Shujinko is from Earth and ages faster. It's also mentioned in Konquest mode several times that people from "lesser realms, like Earth" age quicker.

Kombat is correct, of course, but I think part of the issue is simply that they created older models for Shujinko and didn't for the other characters. They wanted to show Shujinko's aging process, but didn't really need to with other characters. Shujinko meets many Earthrealm fighters when he is younger, but when he ages, they do not. It doesn't make a lot of sense story-wise, but it saves space on the disk and money to just leave the basic models for the Earth fighters.

Shujinko is from Earthrealm, Bo Rai Cho is from Outworld. Earthrealm people age faster than Outworld.
Hell, I think Earthrealm is the only realm in the MK universe where people live up to 60,70,80,90 years old.

Well, like many said, Bo Rai Cho is from Outworld, reason why he ages slower then any earth realm human, like Shujinko.

They should've mafe Shujinko just remain one age throughout the whole game. Either have him start as an adult and remain thus, or start as a child and remain thus.

(Just for the record, Kitana is from Edenia not Outworld.)
Yeah, I dont think people from other realms age as quickly as those in Earthrealm.

What happens is, when a warrior wins the Mortal Kombat tournament, he or she becomes 'immortal' until the next tournament, so that the champion can defend his/her title 50 years later.
It's mentioned a number of times in the movies and television series, but not in the games, however there is no conflict between this and the games, so until we find out the truth I believe it to be canon.
Incidentally, although the 'gift' is referred to as immortality, this is not strictly true. All that happens is the champion does not age until the next Mortal Kombat - but they can be murdered at any time - which explains how the series finale of Konquest happened and also Liu Kang (who I believe was the Earthrealm Champion during the intro to Deadly Alliance) was murdered by Quan Chi & Shang Tsung.
Theoretically, if Liu Kang indeed returns to life proper in MK7, then proceeds to win say the next 10 tournaments over the next 500 years, he too (though from the Realm of Earth) would look no older than he is now.
An interesting point is therefore raised - while Mortal Kombat 1 was about the tournament, we are unlikely to have another Tournament based game unless Midway decide to completely do away with the entire Earthrealm MK cast. Perhaps one could remain as the champion (maybe) and maybe another (such as Kung Lao) may return as an old man, but the next Mortal Kombat tournament should be around 40 years from now so everyone else would either be dead or just plain old.
Of course, they could still have Scorpion, SubZero (his son?) and perhaps the entire Outworld cast I suppose!
Peace!
