I mean, EVERYONE wants smoke back, and due to popular demand, we got back Ermac(WOHOO! Ermac baby!!) Baraka, Mileena and NOOB S. so I'm guessing they'll put smoke in it too.

Yikes, a lot of Smoke threads. Yeah, there's a good chance he'll return. That picture in the PSM has to stand for something, and I doubt Konquest is going to allow cameo characters to train under Bo Rai Cho anyway.

I was just gonna say. Either Bo Rai Cho or Smoke is in this game. Since most of the classic characters are returning, i see bo rai cho NOT returning, and smoke returning.

And what temperaryusername said is right. Characters that appear in konquest probably wont be able to train under bo rai cho, after all, there just making an appearance.

You know the more I think about it, the more I want human Smoke back. Yes, I know that endings don't necessarily happen all the time, but Human Smoke's UMK3 ending stated that he broke free of his robotic body (which was incomplete in the first place) and regained his humanity. After that, he began to study the techniques of the other ninjas and disappeared into the Living Forest of Outworld to train, until he is ready to return again. I think it would be great for Smoke to return as an ally of Sub-Zero...yeah, its another ninja, but if he were a secret character, I wouldn't mind...secret characters, even if they are swaps or similar to existing characters, are always exciting to play, so if Human Smoke returned, I honestly wouldn't mind...in fact I'd welcome it. As for that PSM photo...I retain my doubts as to that being Smoke, as the color was a bit off. I remember when the first MKDA print ads came out, showing Scorpion fighting Quan Chi...but two months after that, there was a massive misprint in coloration (it occurred in EGM) and Scorpion was colored grey, looking like Smoke, and people took that and ran with it. I say we wait and see before we say that Smoke will be in the game, but I do hope he returns.

You bring up a good point, because if they were going off his UMK3 ending, then that would explain where he's been all this time.

Actually, I remember the ending for Human Smoke in Mortal Kombat Trilogy and i remember it saying that his human form will only be a memory to him.

Well something criptic that's very much like that.
