I got it. The deception is:

The ending with Reptile's ending in MKDA had an affect on select fans that made them dumber so that they believe that reptile isnt the DK after numorous times it has comfirmed and the point of this to annoy people who werent affected

Liu Kang is really Shang Tsung (morphed into Liu Kang).

Because Liu Kangs soul is so pure Shang Tsung had difficulty morphing 100% hence we are left with Zombie and Ghost like appearances.

The Deception is actually that Mortal Kombat: Deception isn't even coming out. Yes. All these pics and movies... ALL LIES!!

Sucks I know but... I knew this for a while. Ed and I were discussing how him and I could fool the entire MK community shortly after Deadly Alliance was released. I Just didn't know how to tell you people.

Liu Kang is Shang Tsung

Facts:

- In MK:DA, Shang absorbed Liu's soul.

- GameInformer confirms Liu Kang to be in MK:Deception. It says that Liu Kang will appear as a ghost and a zombie (possibly alternate outfits)



Predictions:

- Shang Tsung has a knack for morphing into different warriors, and since he absorbed Liu's soul, the transformation will be more complete.( He'll have Liu's moves, look, voice, ect.)

- Possibly, Liu took over Shang's body from inside and used Shang's powers to morph himself back to the way he was.

Cartman I've been saying the same thing for a while now. Have never seen your post you are referring to.

I'd take it all further and make this the way to

(a) unlock Shang Tsung

and

(b) resurect Liu Kang in human form, even if only as a 3rd alternate outfit

I think Ed Boon stated in an interview that, MK6 aka MK Deception is called so is because there is alot of Deception in Mortal Kombat Deception. I am guessing with in the plot and storylines among the characters there is deception. Of course we don't know 100% what is going on in Mortal Kombat: Deception.

It will involve Sub - Zero.

This fine master of the Lin Kuei Clan has been mentioned in almost every interview, & has been in EVERY, yes, every, portion of direct feed fighting & Chess Kombat. It's true, go check.

Sub - Zero will gather his old Lin Kuei comrads & defeat the Dragon King.

Or, capture the Dragon King & tend to him as a pet, feeding him accordingly to his weight.

This is yet another post I made referring to certain characters that people seem to have problems with in the game. Somehow at sometime each character has been involved in some sort of deceiving crime and/or will be involved in one in this game. It's really the only logical explanation out there because they wouldn't name it MK:Deception without a reason. That's like naming a pear an apple. It just doesn't work.
