I would say 50-50. The reason why so many of her 'family members' showing up after so long could be that she is missing. Sindel is looking for her and Mileena is trying to take her place. Then again the way the story and character line up is looking, she might be required since the story seems to be taking place in what is (or use to be) Outworld. To be honest, I hope she doesn't show up so the slot could be used for Rayden.

I wouldn't be surprised either way right now.

Well, we can swing either way. Don't know if it's optimism, wishful thinking, or plain old stubbornness, but there are at *least* three different people on this site claiming to have 'inside information,' one of whom has said she's in, the other two, to my knowledge, having said nothing. Sorry I can't remember their names - one was Konqrr (sp?), and I don't remember the others.

So for now, it's "she's in, guaranteed by an unconfirmable source."

Funny... Kitana has a unique part in the MK history. She's generally liked by everybody, loved by some, only respected by others, and disliked by a tiny few... most of whom grudgingly admit that she'd be better, and likeable, if she had some growth in her moveset and storyline. Bottom line is, she's uniformly liked and with Mileena *and* Sindel in, it's either a really strong indicator that she's in, or a really strong indicator that she's out. One can only hope the 'in' fans take the prize :)

For the record, outworld222, did you find that from first-hand information, or are you repeating what somebody else on this website has claimed?
And also, for the record, Midway seems very open to their fans, and happty to deliver on their wishes - few companies in the video game world do that. Kitana's got so many fans, I see her coming back highly possible. The Kitana/Mileena/Sindel trio is practically legendary - we've waited a long time to see them return together, and it'd be a shame to miss this opportunity to represent them all in 3D, modern-day graphics and with a new, fired-up rivalry for the next generation of Kombat.

Well i hope kitana is in it, but darker, i think she should leave her thrown because of the deaths of goro and lui. So she leaves and just travels like a nomad. That could be why sindel is back to look for kitana and meanwhile mileena hears kitana is gone so she comes to edenia to take over. I definately want her in. Shes the best female fighter and sonya also. It would kinda have to be a tie. But anyways kitana BETTER be in it.

Lol, here's how much I like Kitana.

I've debated trading in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance for some credit when Mortal Kombat: Deception releases.

But if Kitana's not in it, A) I might not even buy Deception, and B) I'd have to keep Deadly Alliance to have a MK with Kitana in it on a next-gen system.

I love Kitana and really hope she will be returning. Although I get the feeling she wont, the chances are becoming less and less.
In general i'm not that excited about MK:Deception, mainly because a lot of the characters I dislike are returning (Scorpion, Noob, Ermac, Kenshi) and the fact nothin is known about Kitana is adding to me not being excited about it. If she doesnt make it I will be mightily pissed.

I honestly don’t see Kitana coming back for MK Deception. Many think that the return of Sindel and Mileena guaranties the return of Kitana, but I say that’s exactly the reason why we wont see her in the game.

I believe Kitana looks very weak at the side of these 2 females, and that the return of both of them and a few others, is why Kitana wont be in it.

And if she makes it, she will definitely not be in Mk7.

I dont think kitana would look weaker than sindel and mileena. She just needs a better story for the next installment.
