just saw the newst video that was released (july 30th) everything is looking amazing but there is something that is kinda bothering me. alot of these new characters are takes on the old ones. Kira is obviously kano you can tell that just by the way she fights and her knives. This New Darrius guy looks like jax in Mk2 without the metal arms. And what really made me most piised off was this Dairou dude who has a broad sword like stance that belonged to my Deadly Alliance Fave Kung Lao. I hope That These Characters Will Actually have some meaning to the game and not just a "new look" on an old model. if they were doing that why not just port the characters form alliacne into the new enviroments. Is Anybody else upset about this? Loved Kabal And All the returners but these "NEW" kombatants just look like quick jobs to get fresh faces in while sacrificng our veteran faves.

I wouldn't be worried, KungLaoDecendant.
The MK Team will probably re-use all the characters models they made for MKDA and use them as secret characters (without real storyline) in Deception.
And the new characters won't steal all the old character's stances, they just have it on the trailer because they don't have their own styles finished.

yeah no crap where is everybody. this cast seems familar and strangely very not familar dunt you think? there really arent any of the Big ppl here to keep it Classic. Except for scorpion and Sub-Zero.
Honestly, I'm rather happy that the main cast seems to be composed of mainly later characters. If anything, it shows that the MK series, unlike some other series, has managed to introduce characters later in its life that have become fan favorites, and Midway has enough faith that they don't need the entire original cast to make the game sell.
But with that said, it's not really the case. We've got Scorpion and Sub-Zero, also Raiden, and Liu Kang has also been confirmed to be present. That's 4 out of the original 7. If Reptile actually is the DK, then he's in too.
Coming from MKII, we have Baraka, Mileena, Jade, Noob Saibot, and Smoke. And Jax has been mentioned as possibly appearing as well.
I wouldn't say our classics have been forgotten. Not by a long shot. It's just that some of them need to take a rest, for at least one game. I'm personally sick of the Kano/Sonya conflict, and I hope it ended with MKDA. Kung Lao has been in every MK game in some form (counting Gold) since II, so he could use a break, and so has Kitana. I find it refreshing that certain characters are stepping back for a bit. Jax should be added to that list though - getting really sick of him.

yeah, while i do agree that some characters should have a sit out(kano/sonya/jax) how can you sit out kitana when mileena and sindel are back. that is a triple threat waiting to happen. also if they are going to make Kung Lao out to be the new Badass warrior of Earthrealm you can't take him out in the first 5 mins. as for being satisfied with liu kang and raiden. hmmm i dunno if i am. cuz Raiden is now black/burnt/charrred/evil/shadow/zombie/demon or something and liu kang has come back to haunt everybody with his blululululubb bicycle yell. kabal does not look like anyother i ahve ssen before nor does night wolf. Ermac also looks original. I hope they do put in the classic characters as you said but if they play no part to the story why put them in?

how do i know Kung Lao is the badass warrior of earth? Did you think that the fact that Kung Lao was the one that found Liu Kang's ass had anything to do with a role change? With Liu's Death Lao now has a vendetta. He stepped up to kill The DA and if Quan Chi still lives he hasn't completed that yet. Also who the hell actually used Bo Rai Cho honestly. Can't Wait to use Bo Rai Cho! Pllease. And As For Me "crying" i'm not. just wanted to know others opinions about stuff and if your gonna be Lazy and not give me what you think, then please stop posting cuz we have better things to do then sit here and read your wannabe "flames".

personally i would rather see our old favorites be back in this game rather than the newer one's, because the graphics and gameplay are gonna be way better. And i wouldn't want the mk cast to be wasted entirely on newer characters when the older one's will be able to look reall badass. don't get me wrong though, it is important for the cast to have new characters in it, because there are some characters that are getting old.
I don't think that the new characters are taking the older characters their place! I think some of them need to take a break for a while!. I think the only one the should come back is the ones that we haven't seen in 3D like Sheeva, I think of the MK1-3, she is the only one that we haven't seen in 3D. Oh... wait we ARE going to see her in Konquest! but we are not going to play was her!!!. Anyway some of the older characters should take a little break like 2 or 3 games....
