he losses all memories, so when he does pass on, he cant be with them, and he doesn't even know their names currently, yet he knows that he misses these starnge people(his family) so he needs to kill their killer to calm himself

Well he was getting revenge on Quan Chi because he was the one who killed his family not subzero....at least that is what i thought.

In MK1 Sub-Zero was hired by the Lin Kuei Clan to kill Scorpion and his family.

Scorpion dies but his inner demons allows him to get his revenge on Sub-Zero with his souless body.

In MK4 it was revealed that Quan Chi killed his family. Thus, Scorpion took Quan Chi with him to the Netherrealm.

Thus, this is where MKDA story starts out. If the ending were true and if he actually did kill Quan Chi his soul would rest in peace eternally.

Thus, he won't be making an appearance in MK6 but I doubt his ending came true.

Scorpion ain't goin' nowhere because he is Ed Boon's favorite character. That's also why he kicks butt in MK5.

first off, he wasnt ever ordered to kill scorp, quan chi just hired 2 to be sure he had the best one, then sub killed him because quan chi needed 1 to bring him the map 111111111111111 of them, so he comes back for revenge in mk1 and kills sub(5th), then in mk2 he returns because sub myteriously returns(6th) so scorpion wanted to check it out, and when he fought him he realized it was not the original sub, so in UMK3 kahn tried to steal the netherealm's souls but it failed and allowed scorp to escape, so then he enlists into kahn army cuz he feels like it, then he remembered he would become sub's unknown protector and ditched shoa kahn, but he was killed and sent back to the netherealm. then after that quan chi let him out and got scorp on his side because he had this plan: kill scorp's family and clan, blame it on sub, then have them fight, use scorp to kill sub, then kill scorp himself, it failed because after quan chi told him that it was him who did it he tried to send him to the netherealm but scorp grabbed him and took him with him, so now he still hasnt killed quan chi and still has to do that. good enough?

He did spend alot of time hunting down Quan Chi for killing his family.
