Many of you have probably heard of Sony's new 40 GB Hard Disc Drive that is being packaged with Final Fantasy XI. I was reading an advertisement for it and it said that with it, it would be possible to download new characters for FF XI. I'm wondering if the same would be possible for MK6. If it were true, it would add a whole new dimension to the game. Just think of it, have a few blank spots on the character select screen. Connect to the internet for online play and there would be an option to download a new character. Midway could put these characters out every few months. It would keep the game fresh for a very long time. It would be alot of work for Midway to do so. I, personally would love to be able to master the characters in MK6 and after I've done that download a totally new character with a Bio and storyline and everything. If you think that this is a good idea, please let me know.

i agree.... that would, indeed, be very cool.... as long as it was taken seriously and we were given real characters and not just stupid fillers like Mokap

although i would much rather have the ability to create your own character and give them their own looks, good/evil/neutral alignment, move-sets, and fatalities chosen from a HUGE list

I'm sure that if they actually did this, that would put out quality characters and not just scrubs like Mokap. As far as the Kreate a Kombatant thing is concerned, it would take up too much room on the game disc. If they figured out a way to use the HDD for it, that would be cool, too.

Hey PS2 owners, I think that this is a really good idea. Does anyone else think so?

If you guys read the teamx-box thing, it says mk6 is capable of "Downloadable Content".

That's for the XBox. PS2 needs to do the same thing. And with the HDD, 40 GB, you could fit quite a bit. I honestly didn't know that Team XBox brought that up though. Thanks for pointing that out. It is a very good idea. It says that it's capable of doing it, but will they do it?
