Techinally the Acid would burn through the skin, flesh and eventually the bone but what fun would it be if the person just dissloved into nothingness? I'm glad the see this stage returning, its a classic.

well they did the acide bath that way.. because of mk2.. people liked it like that.. so why change such a classic fatal..

it doesnt look as cool as MK2.....
Its too simple
they could have made it look much better
the bones look crappy & the splash is lame

You're tellin me that the fatalities look realistic or what? It's supposed to be humorous, not realistic, which would be fucked up.

im glad its back,with the "ohhwaa" sound, i wonder if ya have to push down to activate it..on mk2 acid pool,there was a way to upper-cut ur opponent onto one of those hooks that was there, i remember i seen it once

no, no there wasn't

Never happened. On the MK2 Challenger ROM when you hit them into the dead pool, there are several things you can do to them afterwards. Walk over to wear they are floating and coninutally uppercut them. Fire projectiles at them and some of them make the opponent float and die on the area where it looks like they got hung, but they're not.

Technically it would depend on which acid. Bone in general due to its calcium make up is resistant to acid. Hydroflouric acid is an extremely corrosive acid (It eats glass) and if spill on the skin will eat right down to the bone, however, it would not eat the bone as much. Since Clacium neutralizes hydrofluric acid.

Well I was surprised and glad to see the old acid bath. But I have to agree with a couple others on here. Too simple looking. Greenish tint on the bones like in the old fatal would be kewl, or even some smoke simulating burning. But at least it's there I suppose.

Acid just dehydrates things REALLY quick... burning or corroding them... so the bone would just take longer to corrode because the white, hard part of the bone is pretty dry...also it depends on which acid is it... and it looks better this way too!!

When put in to a pool of Acid that size the bone would get eaten away within a matter of hours Hydrofluoric Acid or not. Calicum is resistant to Acid but when completely submerged in an "Acid Bath", the Acid would eat through the hard layer of bone down to the bone marrow, which would be gone in no time flat once the Acid touched it. Speaking of Acid...Bring Back Reptile...

I'm really glad that they brought the Acid Bath back also. My only complaint is that the bones just kinda float all connected together and it looks unnatural, not that anything in the MK games is natural, lol. I also agree that they should bring back Reptile, Ninja Reptile that is :)

I wish the "Acid Bath" was in the game like the "Deadpool" is, this thread had me thinkin something new was discovered at first lol; would be kewl if it was and u could break the Buddah statues!!!

Well the organs actually are gone in both MK2 and MKD. Notice there is no lungs are heart in the chest area which can be seen. they could be gone or not depending on different things. The skeleton coming back up is a classic from MK2 and adds more to the stage fatality.
Either way, just look at the Lava stage fatality, kinda simple and boring without no body coming up.

It'll be cool if there is a special move someone has that will knock the opponent into the wall, then spikes come out immediately over all the walls and impale the opponent, then recede back into the wall and the opponent falls into the acid slumped over and lifeless. Like the acid is just the final touch and not the main idea.
Or at least a special move someone has that will very heavily slam the opponent into the wall (no spikes for this idea) and make a horrendus echoing effect, then the opponent falls into the acid.
One more is where the opponent is knocked onto a hook over the acid, and the hook begins slowly lowering the half dead person into the acid.

I completely agree, however, since we only see the skeleton for a few seconds, it doesnt matter if it would be gone in a few hours.
Also.. If they never introduced new acid then the pH would continually drop each victim until the corrosiveness was no longer present.
