Mobster, this also plays strongly on the storyline....Monster can probably be unlocked as an alternate for Scorpion.
POTENTIAL SPOILER
Scorpion in the storyline, really is the chosen fighter of the elder gods. Shujinko believes he is, in Konquest...however, the real chosen fighter of the elder gods, is Scorpion, I forget where it's said, but it's in his bio, or alt bio, or maybe his ending? That's why he's patrolling the Nexus as well. He was probably the other person looking for the kamidogu in Edenia...the only other person who was probably looking for it, was Shao Kahn. This is why it makes perfect sense that Monster shows up, and has all of scorpions move sets...I don't believe he's really a new character called "monster"...he's just a monster to Shujinko...it probably IS scorpion, and I believe the storyline reflects that.

He didn't use it on me....but...
Scorpion rarely used it on me when I fought him in Edenia at A-1.

SEE MortalkombatDE wasn't lying about that costume, everyone thought he was. I think we owe him an appology. Well I believed him.
I wish we could unlock that costumes, its awesome.
