Guys, I was thinking about what our mystery source said about the ending of MKD being the beggining of an all-out war between the realms.

I was just thinking, guys, what could top that ? An all-out war between the realms ? I mean, what could be worse or more threatening than that ? You guys think they may be leaning to close the series for good?

The only other thing I can think of is if it is the end, then future MKs will be prequels. Cause, frankly, I can see MK7 being the end of the series.

I don't think it will be the end, but I can definately sense the end coming. Just the whole Shao Kahn poisoning, and Scorpion being the Champion seems really out of place for some reason. I htink we're gonna see the Netherealm and The Heavens open up and have a War of Chaos to end the series.

As long as there is a demand for such a game, MK will not end.

Alot of MK fans fail to realise that whilst MK is a videogame...Midway are a BUSINESS.

MK = Money + Good Reputation

Need I say more? Discussing the end of MK isnt reely relevant for this particular game anyway but who am I to whinge?

I'd like to see a Mortal Kombat sequel set waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay in the future. Around 1000 years or so. I'd also like to see a spinoff Mortal Kombat with the Capcom 2D style.

The way I look at this is that this is the beginning or the midlle of the series. I mean DA was like the the first mortal kombat in a new series for console and since there were 4 arcade mk games there may be 4 games just for console. Its a little hard to explain but if u get it thats good for you.

I'd say after MK7, Midway's gonna do a kharacter kompilation game, & do either a followup to MK Trilogy or a Mortal Kombat Tag Tournament, that kinda thing.

well either they are going to create a story in the future that will have a totally new cast, like no old people at all or they are going to keep on reusing the same old cast. I could totally see MK taking place like 100 years later but the generations later arent necesarelly fighters. So the game is more about training the fighters. this would give midway a new edge on a type of konquest per character. you could give them experience and choose some of their moves. anyways just a thought. also...they could always make a sort of rpg of MK and have it online.

no matter what they do I hope they will find some fresh characters, while it was good to have some old ones in this one, there needs to be a whole slew of new characters in the next one. Im talking large scale like 3/4 of the characters. Its good to have each character in 2d and 3d once about but 3 to 4 times gets old fast. Im not sure where MK goes but as long as the games look fun Ill play them of course everything has an end but lets let it last while it does smile

I think their could be one thing worse then that.

Who controls the hell in the MK universe is probably one beast. Pretty much Lucifer showing himself in MK to destory (not rule) all realms would be the story to end MK.
