Yeah, I think its time MK had something similar to this at least. Maybe something like... each character could have their own specific story mode, and fight these weaker opponents like you said. (They could be ninjas, or something with a good MK feel to them). And then run into some actual battles against real MK characters.

An idea I had once was that the game could originally start off with 10 playable characters, and playing the story mode with them was how you unlocked more characters. 2 in each, which would end up giving you 30 playable, not including secret, characters in all. To acquire the new characters, you would have to defeat them in Mortal Kombat if they are the enemies of that character. If they happen to be allies, then perhaps you could just have a team battle with them against lower class fighters I mentioned above.

Something like that would take away from what MK is.

That's a good idea. It would give us some more background about each of the characters. Also, it would be cool to have an MK action advanture game for characters besides Sub Zero and Jax.

Mayhap, Eniamurt, or is it that you're afraid of something new and different? Don't take this personally, but I would try to be a little more open minded if I were you.
