first off i'd like to say hello to everyone and that i'm trilled to see some news on deception. But back to my disscussion. I have reason to believe that Raiden may be the sub-boss and that the dragon king is the boss of the game. If you watch the kabal vs. dairou video on the main page it shows the player playing MK. he selects Kabal and it takes you to the ladder, and i'm happy to say that it brings back some memorys of the classics and adds some new flair to it.

If you all remember the old ladders, it started at the top where the boss was and went down. In Deception it shows a MT. with the lvls. The top lvl. is the DK's lvl. (look carfully and you can see the spikes surrounding the ring. Then next one, and bringing some evidence to my theory, is the tower that you fight on the roof and you fall to your death and explode on the floor (you know which one i mean).

From my exp. in MK the last two lvls you play have always been the sub boss and the boss lvls and in some way pretain to that boss sub boss.

goro's lair

Khan's pit 3

quan chi's fortress

Shang's soul room

moloch's lair or whatever it was called

kitaro's arena

You get my point...

But anyway what better sub-boss to fight on a tower, durring a terrible storm, with thunder and lightning, and (sorry for the caps but...) A FRIKIN WAR HAMMER IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RING than Evil raiden himself.

Come on guys it can't be that difficult to see. Hear me out. Thanks for your time.

Hmm, very interesting. I haven't actually seen the video, but I think this is a valid theory.
Whether or not Raiden is evil, I do not know.

the ladder- the coloms or lands(DA) that showed you your opps. in single player tourny mode a little hard to describe more than that besides the fact that when youwin you move up the tournament "ladder" till the boss and sub-boss

I just wanna know how does the one from deception looks like, since I cant see the vids...

I don't think MKD is going to have a sub-boss. While it would break the mold, I have a feeling that Onaga is going to be hard enough to defeat on his own. I don't think he needs help.

Also, Raiden is confirmed selectable. In the past, sub-bosses were not selectable.

Its a well thought up theory but im having my doubts, I guess i just dont want to see Raiden turn evil.

yes, but since mk 4 came around you can select the boss and sub boss. as for the pic of the deception ladder every time i try to post a pic it never shows up. if some one can post the pic for me that be great. again its in the kabal vs dairou vid.
Sounds plausible presuming the tower level is the one before Onaga's each time you play ( or they may be random.
Yes the tower seems to be most suiting for Raiden I agree.Not sure if he is evil now.Would be interesting.

Personally i love evil raiden. he looks bad ass and so far my choice for the most kick ass looking character. i mean when he was good he was all like "i can't get involved cuz i'll be in trouble" but now he's like "don't talk just bring it biach! i'll rip off your head and crap down your neck! come on elder gods you wanna piece of this!" I've been waiting for raiden to get a bad ass look and persona and in DA i got a taste but now i have the full cake baby!

DMitch if you provide to me proof 125% accurate that raiden isn't what i clame he is then i'd gladly never bring it up again. but since i see no evidence that raiden isn't evil and isn't the sub-boss i'm going to continue with my theory and will stay with it till the game comes out or when someone important like ed boon tells us who the sub-boss is.

Good find. I can think of two problems though.

1. Raiden was listed as being good in his bio.

2. It's very possible the subboss stage may just be random and it just happened to be the lightning stage that time. In MK4 Shinnok didn't have his own stage.

true but as for it saying that raiden is good in his bio, that could be one of the deceptions. not saying that your opinion is false but the game is called deception and i don't think it was named that for no appearent reason.
