I dont think they have anything to do with each other (could be wrong) but I think it was just a cinematic they made for the sake of catching peoples eye and getting them excited for the game.

I dont there is a relation, it's just a trailer. SZ, and Barka dont necessarily have to correspond to each other. They were probably just put in just to have an interesting fight. And obviously Sub-Zero will and has won :) does that answer your question?

Thats true...who knows, maybe he does have something to do with him. HEY if thats the case then maybe in a future game Sub-Zero and the Lin-Kuei, Baraka and the Tarkatan army, and Sektor and the Tekunin can have some huge interconnected war with each other (for one reason or another). Just a thought.

I got a question about that cinematic, or another one, can't remember. I've seena video in which Sub-Zero freezes the guy first then kicks him into the deathtrap while frozen... is this possible? Do you think it would be possible to do that on the other death traps... imagine the sky temple... badass

its tuff... but baraka is the weapon master... but im the biggest fan of sub zero... its sad that sub zero is bald in Deseption.

Maybe it will be a two on two war in the future of Mortal Kombat. The Sektor's Tekunin and Baraka's Tarktatan against Sub-Zero's Lin Kuei and maybe Scorpion commanding the armies of heaven?!? I don't know about you but Scorpions description in his profile makes me feel that he has big things coming to him, and his costume also reminds me of a sort of Holy Knight/Paladin of the sort.

I think they just did that for the comercial to show off the death trap without actually showing any gore. I doubt it will be possible in the game.

Im pretty sure that the ice thing was just for the trailer so that they could show it without havin to worry about gore. besides they arent gonna kill off baraka so fast anyways (I hope)
