In MK:DA, Kitana automatically switched to her Steel Fan stance after performing a Fan lift, so I was wondering: will this trend continue for characters who use their weapons for special moves?

For instance, take Baraka. Pretty much all his moves involved his arm blades, but since those are his Weapon Stance now, will performing any of his special moves automatically switch him into Arm Blade stance?

Or what about Nightwolf? Midway said all of the classic kombatant's special moves would be in the game, so that means that his Tomahawk Uppercut will be in it, too. Will performing this force him into Tomahawk stance?

I like it. It adds a twist on special moves. But I think it shouldn't be overused.

This is the one thing I'm not sure about.

It can be good and bad. At times I liked it since it when right into the fan style and at times I disliked it since I had to switch out of that style.

With Baraka it could get down right annoying considering all his moves are with his blades. It would leave you always in the blade mode when you might want to use his fighting styles instead.

Considering it could get really annoying and only a few characters have something like that I say it should be taken out.

It's diffinately a good idea but for the sake of it not gettin annoying if you want to stay in the current stance it should be something controllable by the player eg. style branching from special moves.

Maybe you'll be able to do the weapon special moves only when you're in the weapon stance.

I hope not, that would already be making tiers there. You have people who can perform their moves anytime and then a few who can only do it in a certain style, seems unfair to me. Baraka might suffer from that. There would be no on the fly combo and then move or vice versa.

Hopefully there is some sort of button command to alter it from happening or you can maybe turn it off and on in the options.

I personally didn't like the idea. I'm a control freak and I like to change stances when I want to. I think immediately following the weapon special move, the weapon should be "sheathed" and the character should return to the stance they were in before. JMHO.
