Hmm you may be on to something. But the cons would be that everyone needs to have linkable combos (if you are talking about a tag team such as Noob/Smoke). And also that would take up more space than they already have. But it is possible. Who knows.

ALA Street fighter EX3, with the first character staying out for about 1 and a half seconds to maybe get a move off after you press the tag button. Since its MK the creators might make it a little more extreme.
