You kidding? Target always has favorship from game companies for release dates! Either that or they couldnt care less about 3 days and they just write down whatever, I dunno.

Why not, cause look circut city was selling doom3 like a week before anyone else got it which includes eb and gamestop and so on...
Game companies make deals with retailers for early releases. Remember Maximo: Ghosts to Glory? I noticed it at Blockbuster a week before it came out. I asked the manager at EB about it, and he said Capcom made a deal with Blockbuster for an early release. As far as the benefit to the game company, I have no idea.

I work at Circuit City. We did have Doom 3 about a week or so before anyone else. The deal is that we get it in the same time as all the other places but they can't put it out till the street date. Certain retailers make deals with the company to be able to put it on the shelf earlier yet they sell it for more and they spilt the profits from the "over sell". So its very likely that Target will have MK:D before some of the other retailers. At my Circuit City we'll have Halo 2 out about a week to 5 days before the actually street date but like Doom 3 it'll be more like 54.99 rather then 49.99...
