Here is a list of teleportations from past games:
Kitanas teleport: she flyes across the sky.

Raidens teleport: He disappears, then appears on youre opp. side. Now thats cool

Scorpions teleport: He goes offscreen and hits you on the other side. It would be cool if mk6 added a feature where the scorpion kidnaps you to another background, like the mk movie.

Reptiles teleport: He disappears, and only hitting him will make you aware where he is.

I know this is not actual physical combat, but to be honest, I thought that was the only mistake in MK5. Just some ideas for the next game, which in playstation magazine sais is a definite in 2004.

Oh I am so glad you posted this. I agree and forgot to put it in my post. I hope teleports come back!

I like your idea for scorpion, though i can't see any reason why kitana would teleport.
Also reptiles invisability isn't quite a teleport...i don't think.
Hmm, that's debatable, but anyway, mk6 would feel more like Mortal Kombat with teleports.
Not saying that MK:DA didn't, but i think teleportation would give an even better quality to mk6 (assuming it's good to begin with).

Whether it's possible though, is another matter.

Sure teleportations are possible, anything is possible if you work hard at it, but regarding Kitanas teleportation, its a classic, and it would give 3D a chance to go into airial graphics.

Well, they can't just bring back Kitana's without bringing back Sonya's (basically same thing, but Sonya had it first), and I would like to see teleportation come back. Reptile's invisibility, however, is debatable, IMO, because in full 3-D, he could avoid attacks much more easily and stay invisible a lot longer, making him a bit harder to beat. I'm not saying that he'll become the next UMK3 Jade, but it might make him pointlessly hard to fight unless he has some sort of restriction while invisible.

Kitana's flying punch move is not a teleport. Neither is Reptile's invisibility. Teleporting (at least as it's referred to in Mortal Kombat) means physically disappearing, then reappearing somewhere else.

I agree that Raiden's teleport should return; however I'm not sure about Scorpion's teleport punch. It might not be bad to bring back.

One teleport they definately should NOT bring back is Kung Lao's. This is because I don't think teleportation makes much sense for a human mortal like Kung Lao. A thunder god? Sure. A hellspawn specter? Fine. A creature from another dimension? Why not. A normal human being? I don't think so.

Also if they bring back Sektor or Mileena they could have their teleport uppercut, and teleport kick. Kitanas and Sonyas square wave punches arent teleports, they just fly across the screen.

Thats not the point. The moves should come back.

I'm just pointing out that they aren't really teleports. And with Kitana, I don't think her flying punch should come back. It's what I consider a filler move, as opposed to a signature move, and like a filler character, filler moves are okay as long as they only last one game. Reptile's invisibility, however, was a signature move. I could go either way on that one though.

Raiden is the most deprived character of all who are without their "teleportz".
Kung Lao wasn't mentioned. Neither was Reiko (if you count it)
These "teleportz" return would help the return of the "old skool" feel, aside from lookin' kool in 3D.

Scorpion needs his teleport punches (back/foward), his air throw, and his scissor(spelling) take down.
