Yes you are correct, I was at the E3 show today and saw the MK1 budhist arena, the dead pool, and the portal complete with original music from MK2! they were only playable on the chess combat mode though. Who knows maybe they might be unlockable.

The arena is available to play in but only in Chess Kombat. In CK, the arenas you fight in are small square rooms essentially cuz the fights don't last that long.

The stage IS PLAYABLE in Arcade Mode; there's a pic of Scorpion and someone fighting on it on the main news page here (u can see the fighter's stance on the bottom of the screen; u can see the statues in the corner of the room, the round drains on the floor in 3-D, the color of the walls and floor, and the chains hanging down plain as day!

No kidding they r fighting in the deadpool but tha doesnt mean its arcade. The deadpool is only playable in chess mode as Ed Boon said himself, there would be any MkD stages in chess mode and the chess arenas wont be in arcade.
