I dont know if this is the appropriate forum or not, however, I think that if Boon and company decide to retire, I think that it should end with them, meaning the buck should end with them (The oldest series still running (MK)).
We dont want the game to be unseccessful. Its probably the best thing that has happened in our young lives (mostly).....
Would you want the series to continue, even if the developer was other then ED BOON? THanks.

I think MK should end on 10, and Boon and co. should still be the creators by that time.
Still, the video game business sucks and only relies on money and selling, so MK will probably hit 30 as a sucky game with some dumb guy getting the plots all wrong and stuff just to make a quick buck.
I want it to end at 10 with all the originals, but still, the VG business sucks.

Hopefully it will continue for along time, but if they did retire I would'nt want some other production company releasing the game (Unless they were high quality) Do you remember what happened to the Twisted Metal series after the original creaters left after 2 and 989 took over for 3, that's how to crush a series.

If they bring back "Liu" it will be the end of mortal kombat.

It would depend on who would continue the series if/when Boon and the others retire. (Which is a good way off, they are nowhere near retirement age.) If the series is continued by the younger members of the Midway team that worked under Boon and they kept to his basic idea of the game series there is a good chance they might do a good or dare I say great job of keeping the series going.
