Ever Since it was said that one of the original characters will die, I immediately thought "Raiden". Which is sad, he's like the Mortal Kombat "father figure". They could kill Johnny Cage... I've hated him ever since his spandex bicycle shorts days, 12 years is a lot of hate.

killing Raiden is a stupid idea. He is a god afterall. by definition, shouldn't he be immortal? I know alot of the gods were killed by Shinnok, which always bothered me. It just seems like Rayden can sit out if they want him too, but killing a god is just crazy.

For awhile it seemed like every damn thing revolved around Lui-Kang in MK...that is until MK:DA! HAHA! I actually loved it when he died, it annoyed me how he always seemed to get the spotlight.

I think Raiden is Mortal when he assumes human form to participate in the tournaments, at least thats how the story used to go.

I think Rayden was mortal at the time he did that blast.

And they killed Raiden in that piece of crap MkA movie and brought him back to life. But, it was stupid. But, they never let anybody stay dead so I'm not too worried.
But, he can die. That's for sure, I think. Otherwise, what's the point of entering "Mortal Kombat"?

If anyone dies, it will more than likely be Raiden. He sacrificed his immortality in a blast against the Dragon King that had no effect whatsoever. More than likely the Dragon King will proceed to beat him dead. You can go look, it's right there on the official website under Raiden's profile.

Actually, Raiden is going to electrocute Onaga's Nuts into oblivion. ... And Yes, I have officially stepped in as "that guy who is way too obsessed with one character" person. Somebody had to do it!

how many times has raiden released his "ELDER GOD STATUS"?....maybe one. maybe more...i hope they keep him and get rid of fujin(if hes a super)..it was shown in another thread that on the mode select screen, his name appears (PROOF SUPPORTED BY PIC!)....was that before they said that raiden was back in?
