The Lin Kuei and Brothers of the Shadow are connected...
My theory is that when Sareena came to Sub-Zero in MKDA:TE she made a pact with him. Noob Saibot, knowing he was no much for the ice ninja yet, had found Smoke's remains and freed his soul making him evil. By doing this Smoke is somehow connected to Noob Saibot...
I believe Sareena could be a secret character too.

Noob was never really connected story wise to Sub-Zero or Smoke. And I don't believe he'd know of Sareenas deal with Sub-Zero at all. He was in Outworld during MKTE.

"Noob Saibot and Smoke are two characters that are kind of fused into one," says Ed Boon, "so they're going to have all these weird juggle-combos with their different fighting styles."
I don't see anywhere in this that he states that they are somehow connected.
Noob Saibot never had anything to do with Sub-Zero's and Smoke's storylines. Good try, but I think your theory has a few holes in it so to speak.

To characters combined into one? That implies that there is no Noob Saibot AND Smoke. It implies Noob Saibot/Smoke. Whether they are one storyline character, or just one character space on the select screen. I'm hoping for the former.

Imagine sayin that, LITERALLY...
Im doin that and Im thinkin he doesnt mean they are one character nor one character icon on the select screen...Im thinkin hes talkin about the character build/model...hence him mentioning the combo styles etc..
People are readin his quote and thinkin "STORYLINE STORYLINE STORYLINE!!!" And I really think it isnt so.
The 2 characters share alot of the same wen it comes to polygon useage and the like
Im really not well up on things such as character build, polygon useage so forgive moi if my terms are out of place, but thats my theory nonetheless.

No, he said their characters were "somewhat" fused and played similiarly. That almost proves that they're two seperate characters.
I'm with Subzero_7th and ReptileanHelms on this. We really won't know anything until more info is given, but I doubt that they're linked beyond gameplay.

I like that idea.
And you are correct, Sareena might be back.

Yes, you're right although I don't think they should be similar to each other in terms of gameplay except for being very fast...
