For those who don't know, here is the definition of Hari-Kari:

Hara-kiri \Ha"ra-ki`ri\, n. [Jap., stomach cutting.] Suicide, by slashing the abdomen, formerly practiced in Japan, and commanded by the government in the cases of disgraced officials; disembowelment; -- also written, but incorrectly, hari-kari.

Interestingly enough, Midway is based in Chicago. Chicago is well-known for the Chicago Cubs baseball team, a team who formerly featured world-famous announcer Harry Caray.

Hari Kari vs. Harry Caray .... coincidence? I think not!

I am familiar with the word "Hara Kiri" and i was wondering why they spelled it the way they did. Either they did indeed spell it wrong, Or it's a pun as you said.

Well, I don't think they will actually portray it the way the samuari did it, at least not every character. Hari kari in a less specific sense means more or less suicide.. Although it would be bad ass to see a few character take out the traditional dagger, and do themselves in.

Never know maybe the will add in an extra goofey finish for harry carrey... like a fergality in MKII

I hope each character get's his/her own hari kari... not just te same for all of them.... specially NOT an explosion!

Not really, it'll be at the end of the match when the winner is determined, it's basically who can do the hari kari or (however you spell it)or fatiliy first.
