I'm posting this because I'm sure a lot of you are dissatisfied with the weapons given to a particular character or characters. I'm giving you a chance to turn in that character's weapon in exchange for a new one - either one that exists in the MK universe or one of your own. I'll start:

Li Mei
Old Weapon: Melon
New Weapon: Naginata

I always thought Li Mei would look good with a staff-based weapon. That big 'ol melon just didn't suit her at all.

Hotaru
Old Weapon: Naginata
New Weapon: Samurai Swords

I say "Samurai Swords" instead of "Katanas" because technically "katanas" is not correct. Samurai carried two different swords - a standard katana for battling and a shorter kogetana (lit. "short sword") for beheading. But for the purpose of Mortal Kombat both swords can be used in the game.

Sindel
Old Weapon: Kwan Do
New Weapon: Iron Whip

Naturally, I'm sure this will be a popular choice. It could be a regular leather whip. I just like the iron whip better.

Scorpion
Old Weapon: Mugai Ryu
New Weapon: Ninjato

This is just an issue of names. I never heard the name "Mugai Ryu" before MKD and I doubt that name conjures up the image of a ninja sword to anybody. But the weapons themselves are nearly identical - correct me if I'm wrong. I'd just like to see Scorp have his trusty ninja sword back, only with its proper name, ninjato.

I know in reality we can't do a thing about what weapon each character has, but I just thought this would be entertaining.
