Maybe he's tired of his fishermen clothing or he tried to toast the dk but ending up electricuting himself in the process.

he tryed to create a blast basicaly using his godly power..by releasing his power within (his godly essence) it created an enormous blast.. To raiden that was his last resort to stop the DK b4 he emerged anymore...but the blast didnt do anything to the DK and raiden's outfit was covered in charcol..hence why his outfit turned black and torn up.. he probably lost his immortality and his power and rules as a god..now he jus seems like a free roaming spirit with the same powers.. (Unlike MKA where he lost his powers)

If he has the same powers, think they will bring the Transport back? I think in MKDA it was not used because they did not have time to complete it.

If they do bring it back, it would be interesting to instead of doing the transport with a wipe up (as a transition) and then wipe down behind the opponent, to have it look like Raiden traveling around the opponent as lighting bolts. First he would quickly convert to energy, then travel around and recombine behind. The bolts would not harm the opponent.

Not sure if I am stating that clearly.


It would also be interesting if Raiden could throw enery bolts like the Dark side of the Force in Star Wars. Might be a copy, but it might fit with his humanness now.
