For a character to return after a game, they must have a decently sized fanbase. For example, Baraka's return in MK Gold was soley based on the number of people who wanted to see him back. Ermac's creation is also an example of this.

Most MK3 characters weren't very well liked by the masses, excluding Kabal, and perhaps the Cyborgs. And like mister_satan said, he played his part, he was an ok character, just not sequel material. Besides, his gimic was that he was defending his homeland, why would he join the dragon king who will most likely want to conquer earth?

This is in reply to mr.crow. First of all nightwolf was not popular. Ok accepted. But if someone like stunning steve austin can become stone cold steve austin and get the fans behind him then I beleve nightwolf is much superior. Secondly we all are aware of the fact in nightwolf ending of mk trilogy he was the one who created some sort of shield to protect the earth warriors. We were not told if his own mother land or whatever he would like to call it was saved from shinnoks invasion. So if the other warriors hadn't helped him to save his place he has every right to join the dragon king. What do you know I might have created a nightwolf mythology. Just joking. Anyway druids are becoming popular in RPG games so why not give this poor guy a small place in the huge mk6 game

Anyway... you can't really compare Steve Austin to Nightwolf. Austin switched companies, therefore got a clean slate to work with. MK is MK, there is no starting over for Nightwolf.

Nightwolf is great material for the game. Unless of course you were one of the people that couldn't use him and thought it was 'cheap' when you got your asses handed to you. Not to mention, he is better than about 1/3 of the craptastic characters that disgraced MK5.

With a SERious reworking of his storyline nightwolf could work, i think. His moves already lend themselves to a weapon style and in the right hands in MK3 he could do some serious damage.

Nightwolf was good in Mk3. I would like to see him back. He could be improved a lot, his look was very cool, and I agree, he has 2 weapons to choose, the arrow and axe.

First of all I would like to thank you all for giving your time to my thought. So some are still there who wish nightwolf to come back. I definitely am one of them. I mean he was one of those characters who just got looked over. Main reason might be the fact that he didnot had any sort of connection with the other characters. If the creators put their heads just a little bit in this character they can easily get an outstanding element in their hands. And I do beleive that it is easier to make a known character popular than an unknown character even close to it. However I might add exceptions are everywhere.

This post could go for any character though that failed in the past. "With a 3d upgrade and new storyline...". The MK team is always good on creating new characters. Why bring back someone like Nightwolf when they could create someone new in his place? He ran his course. I think even now they bring back too many characters. Should be 75% new and 25% old. Leaving the likes of only the insanely popular MK characters like Sub and Scorp to return.

Maybe, but if that was to happen, I wish for the Mk1 main original charcaters to come back:

Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Sonya, Johnny Cage, Rayden and Reptile. Liu Kang is dead, Kano may probably be dead, Goro is dead, and maybe Tusng is dead.

Secondary originals:

Kung lao, Kitana and Jax.

The main characters of the game will always be there. I mean sub-zero and scorpion are like mk personification of boon and tobias (not any more unfortunately). As far as new characters are concerned, ok its allright to introduce a few but 75% give me a break. I mean even in mk4 the guy quan chi had some background in mythology and reiko took the character assistence of Shao Kahn. And finally I donot think any new character can replace nightwolf (in all the good sense). Either keep him out of it or in it. No cheap imitations please.

he is a joke. a disgrace to my haratige. i'm one 32th natvie ameranen. i have no qaims with boon's incusion if a natvie ameranen in mk's mithos. in fact, i find in refesing, a fighter who's a bit smarter than, say, liu kang. but, his outfit is offensfe, disgracful, abombaltoy, disgusting and horrid. it's made our broters and sisters across the nation of natve amereacan birth ashamed of the mk games. make him in mk6 as he is now, the casnio owners, the tribel leaders and independent natvie ameracan store owners will possalbey sue, witch they probalbly did when mk3 came out. remake him in a less insalting outfit, and he'll be the hit of mk. at lest with natve amareacan gamers. i'd play as him, anyway.

I cannot figure out what you want to say. If you mean that he was a disgrace to the natives well I donot have any idea as to where that thought came from. If you hate the guy foe that reason then let him return to the game as a bad guy so that you can kick the hell out of him. If you like him then let him return with some nice 3D looks, unique powers, a special animal fatality, and of course the two fatalities he originally possessed in mk3 which would look great in 3D.
