I am so excited about the return of Noob Saibot. Noob Saibot was easily my favorite character in Mortal Kombat Trilogy. He has some extra momentum going into Mortal Kombat Deception, being the character that Killed Goro.

The fact that he killed Goro got me thinking. Wouldn't it be great if Noob Saibot killed one classic character each game, and that character never returned? I think that would do wonders for Noob's character if he was that universally feared.

So discuss this Demon from the 5th plane of the Netherealm. Do you think he will be a significant character this time around?

In a nutshell... no. He'll probably be what he is in every MK, and what Reptile, Nitara, and Cyrax were in the last game. I don't think he'll be in the spotlight, but he'll probably do a lot of signicant stuff which will tie the story together. To be honest, I think every ninja BUT Noob will be playing main roles in this game. Smoke will fight Sub's battle, Ermac will aid Kenshi, Mileena will take part in the deception(maybe), and Scorpion and Sub will be doing their roles as always, and they never fail to be essentail in some way or another.

I mean no disrespect to Noob. I do like him, but he's never proven big story-wise. He is, was, and probably will be just another pawn.

I dunno man. I just thought that it was a big deal that he killed Goro. I hope they have something more for him.

Well killing goro is actually a pretty big thing. I mean not only was goro the leader of the shokans, but he was also one of the strongest warriors, not to mention a good friend of kitana. If kitana finds out noob killed him, that will be beef.

And i must say, i'm extremely happy noob is back in MKD. Hes one of my favourites.

however, i'm very dissapointed how he has the white skin. I hope that changes, even if its an alt.

I love the fact that n00b is back, if Quan Chi doesn't return then I'll probably use N00b since I always liked him, especially in MKT.

I think N00b is back for a reason, he is going to kill someone.... Quan Chi!!! (Because Quan killed Shinnok and/or Shao Kahn)

N00b Saibot's mission was always to eliminate threats to Shao Kahn, so it comes as no surprise that he will eliminate Quan Chi or Kitana or even the DK.

I think noob will play a pretty big role given the atmosphere and tone of MKD.

Noob is awesome I love Noob, I'm very excited in his return. His alternate costume in the trailer looks very kool. I can't wait to see what kind of fatalities he will have.

Noob is the number 2 character I plan on using. Hopefully he has his moves from MKT ,his Scythe, and no spear. I think Noob will be repsenting either Khan or the Netherealm in MKD, using his assassin skills to set up one of those factions for a comback as the primary evil. Any allies of Goro who appear will likely be out for him too.

As for that other poster's comment about people convinced Smoke is back, he was rumored to be in by many unoffical sources and then was confirmed in the May issue of Game Informer by an interview of one of MK's head designers, along with Tanya, Ben, Kira, and several others that had only been on the rumor mill up to that point.

BTW: that white-skinned Noob is from old out-dated pics the German mags helped themselves to. Newer screens like the one where he's kicking Ermac show him in the same outfit with his trademark charcoal black skin. The white skin is probably a beta or the 2p recolor for his standard outfit. If its his alt I'll be a little dissapointed, since the only difference between the two is his skin color.

That would suck if they got rid of his white boy costume.

Look at it again... its basically the same exact costume as the one where he is kicking Ermac or when Ermac hits him. Just minor differences and the main genetic factor that distinguishes him from the others... his black as night skin.

All he needs is his scythe and a badass Reaper like costume for his alt and he'd be perfect. I cant with till Deception to play as him. Hes gonna kick so much ass, i just hope he has badass fatalites, combos, and specials.

I like Noob Saibot. He's cool.

May'be since Noob and Drahmin both are from the 5th plane of the Netherrealm,They will confront each other and a new story will unfold.

It could happen.

Noob Saibot isn't an Oni. He's a Brother of the Shadow, a cult that worships Shinnok. They live in the Netherealm, but they don't get tortured 24/7 because they are chosen to be Shinnok's personal servants. Hell, they aren't even confined to the Netherealm! They could leave anytime they wanted to, but they choose to remain there with Shinnok....

but I guess since Shinnok is dead or reduced to a very low position, the Brothers of the Shadow fell apart, and Noob Saibot decided to work for Shao Kahn this time for real (though why Kahn chose to take Noob back is anyone's guess, since Shinnok ordered him to pretend like he was on Outworld's side and then when Kahn leasts expect it, help the Earth warriors destroy him!) Maybe Noob was never actually CAUGHT betraying Kahn?
