there is a stage in which the pit from mk 1 is in right? but wouldnt it be cool if you could get knocked down there, but you didnt land on the spikes? like a 50/50 chance you would be killed or just fall to the ground, then the opponent would run down some stairs, and then you would continue the fight free roaming around the spikes, and any type of move that would knock the other into the air could possibly end the match by making them fall onto the spike? i think that would be a cool idea.....

That would be bad ass. I also think it would be cool if when they went down to fight you could knock spikes over and use them as weapons and try to stab your oppenent. ??

I like the idea of having a bridge style pit like in the 2D games, that if you side stop or move off the edge or are knocked off the ledge that you will drop down to the lower level of the pit.
I also think that when they fall that they should just lose a certain amount of health, but not die.
The spikes at the bottom should be in clusters of 3 or 4 spikes that you fight "around" as if it was an object or pole.
This way, if the opponent is defeated without falling down from the top of the PIT, then a "stage" knock off would send them landing on these clusters for a fatality. w00t...
