Does anyone else worry that way too much attention is being placed on extra features and not enough on the play system? It looks like they are going to run on the exact same engine with very few tweaks. I mean sure, the Konquest mode is cool. But do we really need MK Chess, and puzzle kombat? It doesn't seem that necessary to me.

What?!
you have a problem with Puzzle Kombat?
I think Puzzle Kombat is a great mini-game.It's way better then test your might or test your sight.I'm glad they're including Puzzle Kombat,It looks awesome. Also, why are you complaining about the play system.I thought it was fine.I think the game is coming along nicely.

I think the new features sound snazzy, but I do miss
some of the things that made the old games so great,
those somersaults, and those beautiful, beautiful
uppercuts.
Cool if you could dump all the fighters in an arena at
once for one huge battle to the death.

Not to me. I am so sure that Ed Boon will show off the kombat system at E3. So far what we have seen have been little teaser bits of MK6. Just like E3 2002 there will tons of videos here,MK fan sites,. gamespot, and ign that show off the gameplay.

There were Uppercuts in MKDA.But we refer to them now as Pop-ups.They may not look like the old uppercuts but they are uppercuts.
As for the fighting I like the MKDA fighting engine.I just wish there were more moves and reversals. The Puzzle Kombat and Chess look interesting. It's going to give the game a BIG boost in the replay vaule department if they pull it off right.Every MK has took a big step from the previous installments.Just play MK1 then play MK2.And after that play MK3/UMK3 then play MK4/Gold you can see the diffrence.MKDA to me was a classic and MKD looks like it will top MKDA.

Rock on but i think MK2was the best because of its originality but MKDA was an excellent game i really miss the real uppercuts from MK2 and like u said I think the characters should have more special moves and better weapon and style techniques
