I'm gonna assume the game will have 2.0. Now if the developers are gonna take advantage of the systems, they could work in some 5.1.

I'd love for MKD to be in 5.1 in game.

Projectiles could move across the speakers.
Fatality music could hit all the speakers.
A living forest level could have random voices coming from each speaker.
The subwoofer really should be used during falls and fatals.
Stage transitions could have the sound move in the direction of the falling warrior.
Toasty 3d could have toasty hit the fronts, and 3d hit the rears.

they could really create a badass atmosphere using 5.1 and coul really enhance the dark feel.... especially like the idea of the living forest and hearing ambient noises and whipsers and creatures on dif speaks etc... but as awesome as all that would be.... they probalby take advantage of the sound capabilities and just stick with the basic... hopefully they will at least have better music and more sfx and voices this time around.... but probably won't get that either lol... oh well still kick ass game...

I would love to hear it in DTS. I know it's not possible because it would take up to much storage space. 5.1 would be nice nough, you can really create a atmosphere with that type of sound.

The best thing would be a THX licensed game, but that's not going to happen i fear

I've never seen a DTS game, most likely due to the space issues mentioned above. A THX certified game would be nice. Oh well I'm still gonna run my XBox and play this game in at least Pro Logic II, as I do with all my games (unless they have 5.1, then I play them in that).

i thought Xbox encodes all games into 5.1 surround no matter what format they are in? eg. Soul Calibur doesn't mention it has any DD5.1 yet all of my speakers rumble smile Even MK:DA uses the rear speakers occasionally. But i suppose if it was designed from the ground up it would be even better!!
